I have also had a letter from Weightmans. Looks like Angard may be taking the ET seriously. Maybe they will now make some more effort to sort out all the problems!!

Don't panic Weightmans are Royal Mails solicitors and as far as I know its standard practice for them to contact and advise you who they are. Stand by now for various paperwork and statement requests, and hopefully in the end a proper settlement.

I'm still owed over £200 and holiday pay, after speaking to them several times to resolve this issue and being promised my outstanding pay was going into the bank this Friday, today I have still received nothing.

I spoke to Angard today, an obnoxious women called June who explained to me in a condescending manner that there is an outstanding balance that I need to pay. This June women several times during our conversation threatened to hang up on me as my tone occasionally annoyed sounding as I was told such things as "you have a outstanding balance of such and such" and "it's under investigation and once payroll have received your time sheets..blah blah blah..."

I have spoke to ACAS and was told to see if my money was in today as promised and if not to contact them back to get the ball rolling for an employment tribunal. The man I spoke to from ACAS told me I was not alone with this problem to which I laughed and said "yes I know" and that it was likely I would have to go through an employment tribunal as he has had numerous cases like mine and had not been able to resolve them by speaking with angard.

I'm f***ing FURIOUS about the criminal behavior of Angard, it's nothing less than corporate theft.

As said above I too hope they rot in hell for this, the greedy bastards.

I thought it was only me, l spoke to the same woman, and got the same response.Reading your post was like twilight zone/deja vu for me, so it`s clear now that this is angard strategy and while researching angard found part of article below on http://www.wsws.org/articles/2012/feb20 ... -f04.shtml" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

"Royal Mail issued a defence of Angard, claiming that its “external supplier” was facing difficulties in managing the 18,000 casuals in addition to the record number of 110,000 applications. However, :Applause Angard is a non-trading subsidiary of Royal Mail set up in 2006. Its two current directors are Royal Mail human resources director John Duncan and Royal Mail innovations limited director Kathleen Harmeston
Angard’s external supplier is Reed Specialist Recruitment, which manages day-to-day recruitment. . According to Angard’s web site, it fulfils “Royal Mail’s requirements for flexible resource by managing a ‘pool’ of employees that are supplied on assignments, ranging from a single-shift cover to longer assignments covering a number of weeks.”

Now it all makes sense :arrrghhh

just an update on weightmans. they have sent me an email and called me 2 times today. angard are disputing my claim because the deductions they made were correct (including deducting holiday pay without asking me which by law is illegal), and that i suffered no financial hardship as a result of the deductions made

the lady that called me from what i could tell, was trying to, in a coniving sort of way, see if i would drop the case. she wanted me to send detailed evidence to her, (which i have done). There is no way I am dropping this case. I want what is owed to me. I am going to let the Court decide

how is everybody else getting on. Have weightmans contacted them. How do they find them to deal with

Never except the first offer, £25 is pretty poor IMHO. To be honest don't even reply to that email.

got a response from the solicitors today. they will speak to angard and see if they can get them to give me the full monies that i am owed on condition that i drop the case against them and angard stop chasing me for money they believe i owe them. angard, weightmans and acas are now speaking with regards to the wording of the agreement e.g. 2 months down the line, angard cannot chase me and say i owe them money

of course i wasnot going to accept the 25, i know what monies i am owed, and there is a chance i may get it. its taken its time, but i willnot let this go until it is sorted out on my terms, and my terms alone. acas lady told me they have so many cases against angard. i hope everybody takes angard to the cleaners. they treated workers over christmas like mugs.

The aim is to get all that your owed by Angard/RM without going to a ET hearing. You are proberly one of the few really pursuing this. As you now know you will get so much contact now, but before nothing.

I wonder if there is any regulatory body overseeing Angard and the Royal Mail that can apply sanctions regarding tribunal cases that are found against them. Costs of corresponding with claimants via solicitors and representing themselves in tribunals could quickly get to three figure sums. Perhaps a case that is filed but not pursued to a hearing is disregarded by the statistics. They will also be keen to impose a confidentiality clause if they do pay before a hearing, which I advise claimants not to accept. If Angard has treated you wrong, you should not create a liability for yourself in saying so.

a final update on my claim (good news, although it seems others are still waiting)

i did have a hearing which was supposed to go ahead soon, but it will now not go ahead as I will be paid all monies that are owed to me

if anybody is still waiting:

a/ fill in an et1 form
b/ if you have, and are still waiting for an answer, donot give up, donot accept the first offer that is put to you, hold your fire and say that you will go ahead with the claim unless you get everything you are owed. thats what i did, and it worked

good luck to all the people that have put in a claim against angard. it may take time, but like i say, stick to it, and you will come out on top in the end
