Well much as I am loathe to disagree with you - that posting wasn't in any shape or form details of an agreement. If it did exist - and I don't want to frighten everyone with the Town Hall steps - why hasn't the bones of it been published?

The truth of the matter is they aren't up to it and have never been up to it - we know that in our heart of hearts - yet we still cling to the notion that the old days will return.

The sooner we employ people who have the necessary skills to negotiate on a par with these lying scheming toads the better.

we never get anything like that in our branch, but people read the stuff yesterday about flexibility and are definitely getting riled up, we are going to have a meeting to get our sh*t together for the next round, BRING IT ON. The rolling strikes mean crossing picketlines or handling strike mail though, maybe we should go out for 3 days, 4 days and then all out if they haven't backed down by Oct. 8. We should not rule out an all out strike though, if nothing else works we have to be ready to go for it.
---Apologises Goinpostal, just got back in from my shift. the article was sent to me by my local union rep. we also have an article up on our noticeboard that goes a bit more in-depth and it isnt pretty reading . :mad

Of course he did, the front line managers are finally seeing that they'll be expected to follow our shift patterns and "new" ways of working, and guess what they don't like it. Now they know they're just as valued and respected by dumb and dumber as we are.
There was a deal as i posted before, but RM came in and pulled it Sun Night!
Yes I heard from a rep that it was an eleventh hour ammendmant...He was mighily pigged off when he found out that we had been so close to a viable agreement and only to have it pulled out and that recent load of cobblers added.
-Like everything Royal Mail do -it's deliberately vague , underhand & ambigious ; BUT I don't think this has been pulled out of a hat like the pensions expose , they've tried to railroad through a revised attendance scheme as they think it takes too much time to get rid of people especially when they know how to play RM's system , removal of DDA Protection , they've wanted it trialed ,they've tried to force teamworking in at RDC's etc . Everything is put back on the backburner to be recycled earlier-PERIOD OF CALM -B*****KS .
I used to go on H*****l because it was the only one I could get on when I got broadband on ,as I prefer Macs but I've never known such a bickering , bitter union bashing forum and I've done 4 strikes . I used a XP PC and got on this and it was a breath of fresh air but I do remember a certain Boggie 40 RM propoganda plant saying " I really feel for the older guys AS THIER JOBS WILL BE CHANGED OUT OF RECOGNITION ", so this is deliberately premeditated but RM had only one plan it was a Thatcher/ Mc Gregor V Scargill game plan. There's a split apparently between Crozier & Leighton , Crozier's ganged up on Leighton with select senior managers who've come from outside industries/businesses and are very union hostile even more so than 2003 , and that's saying something . There's been some nasty sneery arrogant Senior mgrs on as mods who even RM/Hellmail pulled . The one not to trust is Crozier , he's a bad reputation at the FA and it's was he pushed or did he have to jump , Leighton's just a jumped up salesman , all bluff and bluster etc . Others that were headhunted are McAVOY , I've heard things about BAE at Warton & Samlesbury locally ,the other one was Crawford from Bombardier Shorts in Ulster , he'd 273 redundancies to force through by fair means or foul, he'd 474 Tribunual Cases against him.
Just be careful RM are trying to force a All Out strike . Typical F*****g Royal Fail just one F*****g idea ! : :cfo WAKE UP CWU PEC & GET REAL -OTHERWISE YOU'LL FALL INTO THE THICK POSTMEN IN SUITS THAT ARE LEADING YOU ALL UP THE GARDEN PATH PIGEON HOLE THAT RM MOD PLANTS ARE TRYING TO IMPRESS ON MEMBERS . PMC are doing a tell the CWU Where to shove it topic _" Jobs on the line , let down by the Union Hierachy , conditions worsening " -PMC aren't pushing that line for nothing !

I know it's true and it has been said by others as well.
And yes, would be interesting to see what it actually was,as i said in the link it was called 'A good deal' so would be nice to see it.
But then,it would probably piss us off more as a 'What could of been' senairo would happen  :mad

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

took the deal into my work to show my fellow collegues but some of them just aint intrested in thier jobs as when i went in at 5 they are standing with their letters and flats already preped when i handed them the sheet with the deal they told me that they did nt want to see it as it will just depress him and another said he did nt av time as the footie was on the day that just sums people up they sit and shout about the union doing this or doing that and dont want to do f**k all for themselves the way i see it is that we are the union so we should also be taking a role here and working to rule without some having to tell us :mad

I took it in as well, as a lot from our place broke the strike, I showed it to the guy next to me, and a couple of minutes later, someone else wanted a look, I think it went around most of the office. If those who broke the strikes, don't strike after seeing that, then nothing will make them strike.

What I can't understand is why the union hasn't sent it to every branch to pin on the notice board, as some of them didn't belive me as it wasn't on CWU letterheaded paper, and the last time I pinned something like it to the board someone took it down.

I'd like the CWU send this agreement and a strong fighting letter to everyone in RM, to try and get some support from the non strikers, and also get on to their MP's, I mean CWU do sponser MP's get them to earn their sponsership.

-It's interesting that someone off Hellmail/PMC "said " Wardy was supposed to be losing it in talks , sounds more like a smokescreen for apparent split between Crozier and the senior managers who've supposed to have ganged up on Leighton . My point is , maybe there is a split on the RM Board ? , hence someone pulling a fast one at the last hour on the CWU.
