Hi all, been going through the application process over the last few weeks with royal mail and had the phone call today saying congratulations youve got the job pending the pre employment checks that should take around ten day :nana
Am a very happy camper and looking forward to starting work, i do have one small worry though, i'm 34 now but when i was 17 and abit of a lad i had abit of an incident which involved me and some other lad falling through a shop window and me going to court and getting a fined and suspended sentence for criminal damage, i have told them about this and am sure it must be spent by now? but will this effect my application at all?

thanks for any replies and i look forward to asking many more stupid questions haha

In an ideal world it shouldn't as its probably not an honesty offence and it is well past the time it becomes a "Spent Conviction".

Anyway best of luck and hope you enjoy the job if you get it.

thanks :thumbup got my fingers crossed, got to say id be gutted and surprised if they held a spent conviction against me especially since i'd been honest and declared it in the application before the interview and over the phone, be nice if it didnt show up in the checks anymore although i did have a crb in 2007 and it showed up then
