The Post Office Ltd has appointed a new HR Director.
Pauline Holroyd assumed the new role at the Post Office on 9 January 2012. Previously, she was HR Director for Aviva operations, managing a complex people organisation with over 16,000 employees.
In her role at Aviva, Holroyd led a successful change programme and she was also part of a major brand culture change programme, which improved both efficiencies and customer service levels.
Prior to Aviva, Holroyd was HR Director for BAA Gatwick Airport, where she led a modernisation and change programme.
Her early career was as European HR Director for Kimberly Clark's consumer division. She started work in manufacturing, developing a keen interest in culture change, performance improvement and employee relations.
Commenting on her new role at the Post Office, Holroyd says: "I expected an organisation that was resistant to change and I find open doors everywhere; I expected suspicion and I find enthusiasm; I expected complacency and I find urgency.
“There is simply no reason why one of the UK's most trusted brands can't revitalise its business to meet the ever growing needs of twenty-first century customers and communities.
