The 12 suspended at Burslem, including 3 Reps, yet to see any evidence to why they have been suspended. Stopped from communicating with the rest of their workforce and eventually police escourted the 8 men off the premises. Members walked. The other 4 suspended whil'st on leave. What a complete stitch up!! This after 100% of the workforce signed a petition citing the management for Bullying and Harrassment, two woman colleagues still off sick after been harrassed by management. An Official ballot is now been conducted.

None of them know what they are supposed to have done or who against, ive said before its a witch hunt, 3 of them who went on the TV for local news have also been charged with giving out confidential information, whats next charged with breathing in and out, and not wearing a tie, i thought we lived in a democracy, its just made me more determined than ever to see this out come what may...UNITY IS STRENGTH.

After the 1st fact finding interview RM mail say there aren't any specific allegations ie; Times Dates People involved just something happening between Nov 2006 and now.
So now they are going to interview everyone in the office try to make a case. I think that is rather a large procedural irregularity. :cfo :cfo :lfo :lfo

What a fit up, Seems to me that they've been suspended until managemnet can find something tenuous to do them with...Very very suspect, and very very RM I'm afraid. Hope everything works out for them, and soon too.

The more posts I read from various places I just can't help feeling that we need to ALL go out and STAY out until there is recognition from Royal Mail and the CWU that there is a BIG problem that needs to be addressed. Primarily we need to have an interim agreement. Never mind RMs bleating we need to have change - we all agree to that - we don't need it on 8/10. Pay - give us the 2.5% backdated to 1/4 without strings or prejudice. Recognition by RM that the CWU bargains collectively for its members. The members should sign a paper that they will withdraw their union subscription unless they see some sort of urgency about dealing with this problem.

I agree things are not very good at the moment but I would urge people not to withdraw thier union subs at the moment or even sign anything to say they would do so. This is exactly what RM want. They are trying to divide the members against themselves, they are trying to undermine the union and to disolve it any way they can. Just imagine what they would do if there was no union representing us!!!! It does not bear thinking about. We need to get behind the union 100% Send the message to our managers and also the head managers that we will not be treated in this way.

The situation at Burslem is ridiculous. They have removed people who are prepared to have thier say. They have removed the union reps etc so that they can then make more changes in that office without opposition. They now want to drag this out as long as they can by saying they have to interview every member of staff in the office.

Like others have said they are just trying to dig for something to pin on these people so they can get shut of them.

Remember, Unitiy is Strength, split that unity and the strength is diminished.
