An elderly woman was attacked in her home in Enfield by a man posing as a postman.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward, which also led to the woman having her car stolen on Tuesday February 7.

The 68-year-old victim was alone in the property, in Brycedale Crescent, off Morton Way, when a man rang her doorbell carrying a parcel and wearing a postman jacket at about 11.15am.

After she opened the door, she was pushed to the ground by the man before two more men entered her home.

The three men demanded money from the pensioner and stole her car keys before taking her car, a BMW 318i.

The first man, who was wearing the postman jacket is described as a light-skinned black male, aged 35-40 with a stocky build.

The second is described as black, aged 35-40 of a medium build and wearing a black hat and black trousers.

The third man is white, with a moustache, about 6ft 5ins tall, of a slim build and was wearing a black coat with a black hood.

The registration number of the car stolen from the woman’s address is LX10USH.
