Special Delivery - Training Brief.

Additionally we all must ensure that we don't pre-scan items on Track and Trace as "delivered" before a delivery attempt has been made. It is essential that the scan reflects the actual delivery status of each item.

We are being told by doms if we can't deliver special delivery by 1pm to fail them ie after 1pm, is this the norm in other offices? Packets also being left regularly ....what's the score any advice?

all speciels need to be done before 1pm by the driver off the shared van or the two ov you before starting your delivery,or when your just about to start a other loop . come on guys and girls it not that hard is it

There are probably still 1000 offices that haven't had a Delivery Methods Revision.
In some of these offices the Specials are still done by walking postmen/women.
Although later starts have been introduced in walk sequencing revisions that aren't revisions, the problem with Special Deliveries hasn't been addressed and will not be addressed where this incurs extra resources being needed.
Consequently management have reverted to type and are attempting to hide the problem by a) default confirmation or b) failing and hoping no-one notices and complains.
In the 21st century with the technology available the situation can only be described as truly pathetic.

Our revision cakewalked in nearly a year ago, based on a 2:30 last letter 2:50 finish, however there are some who pilchard of in sub post offices and they insist on specials being on paper still so they can stamp the card as proof of receipt if you like...

Like I say time has not been built in to break off and do specials before 1, and I refuse to write a fake time on the card

We were told if you get there after 1pm, don't use the PDA use a Card and just ask the person to sign and print and not mention putting the time in, needless to say we asked them to put the time down and inform sender that they can claim the money back.

AHAHAH my pda pin is not even in the system xD I've been working for RM for around 5 months and apparantly i don't exist so this problem does not really effect me

But then again this week my manager came to our area and showed us a sheet with around 9 failures LOL...one was like 12:59 xD
there was one that was like 11:01 (something like that) and one of the workers asked why - my manager said the special was a few days late
Seriously almost cried out laughing from hearing it!
