Re: RM faces wave of employment tribunals over delayed Xmas
Since Angard now seem to have paid me what they owed me (in bits over the last three days), here is the phone number they gave me to use 'as an urgent case' - 01142288902. As I said before it went straight through without delay to Reed staff who said they were 'acting on behalf of Angard'.

Well get it done also keep a note of what you are paid and also if they say you owe Angard watch to see if they take it out of your wages.
Good luck

That would be extremely strange, and rare though not impossible.hallmat wrote:just got a phone call saying there not going to deal with my situation beacuse i havent put in a ET1 form
Just getting an ET1 put in against them causes them grief as they have to respond, get lawyers to look over it, directors are probably informed etc. The when ACAS get involved - more expense, and then if it goes as far as the ET and prelims it costs even more.
Not saying your wrong, just that in any normal company they try to avoid ETs and solve the problems in house. If Angard and RM are refusing to act without and ET1 then they really are showing arrogance and ineptitude.

Re: RM faces wave of employment tribunals over delayed Xmas
Does anyone have any idea who pays travel costs to get to an Employment Tribunal. My hearing has been brought forward from 26th March to 14th March ( it appears as though they are hearing multiple cases on that day as have set aside three hours) . I have to travel from Plymouth to Exeter for the hearing.

upon receipt, i'd like to think one of the below will contact you quickly to personally deal with the issues that you are having. information originally supplied by intelligentsia, to whom i'm extremely grateful!
An efficient, effective way of communicating with Angard Staffing Solutions and bypassing all the useless frustrating calls to 0845.... etc is to:
Email angardpayroll.queries@reedglobal.com (priority!)
plus sending copy emails to the following people:
Moya Greene, CEO - moya.greene@royalmail.com
John Duncan, Group HR Director - john.duncan@royalmail.com and
Mark Higson, MD Operation and Modernisation - mark.higson@royalmail.com
let us know how you get on and good luck!

Re: RM faces wave of employment tribunals over delayed Xmas
It was David who dealt with my case, saying he was dealing with 'urgent cases'. I guess mine was considered urgent because of the article in the Guardian, but his other urgent cases may well be people who have put in an ET1. I hadn't, because I was waiting to see if anything resulted from the Guardian article. I am not mad keen on Employment Tribunals, though they are a last resort. I took a previous employer to one. It took over a year of delays, statement writing, etc and then the company went into receivership three days before the hearing and it was cancelled. I got nothing in the end. But I think it does look as though Angard/Reed might be treating people who have filed ET1s as a priority, so it is obviously a good thing to do.
Incidentally, they have paid me holiday pay in their last payment to me according to the wage slip I got today, though I have still been paid short by one shift

Re: RM faces wave of employment tribunals over delayed Xmas
The whole point of filing an ET1 is to get RM/Angard to pay up before the date, but only then do you withdraw the ET1, do not do it otherwise.fionar wrote:Many thanks jerseyspice. Lots of posters on here talk about bringing RM/Angard to account on the day of the ET hearing, forget it, just get what is owed to you including bank charges, safety shoes ect.

The ET1 was always the way to go, its free and you can file it online. As people are finding out they rise to the top of getting their money sorted out. Anybody has actually had a response from an RM solictor yet?

Re: RM faces wave of employment tribunals over delayed Xmas
I cannot stress how important it is to do an ET1 - following the email sent on Saturday evening, all monies owed have been paid into the bank today. If anyone is delaying over the ET1 - don't! Fill it in online, send it in then once you have your ET case number and hearing date email as advised above. IT WORKS

Re: RM faces wave of employment tribunals over delayed Xmas
I am the Angard temp' whose case study was published in the Guardian.
In brief: I worked a XMAS Casual Engagement at Portsmouth Mail Centre from 5th December to 24th December 2011. My actual rates of pay were lower than those advertised with the job vacancy. On the 20th January 2012 Royal Mail promised to fast-tracked me a sum of £80 to correct my pay, since I appear to have been paid at a local rate. To date this pay correction hasn't materialised. I contacted Landau Zeffertt Weir Solicitors and provisionally lodged my details, in case I needed to go to a tribunal. Their contact details are:
Web site: http://www.lzwlaw.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Email: pl@lzwlaw.co.uk
Tel No: 020 7357 9494
Address: Landau Zeffertt Weir Solicitors
10 Bickels Yard
151 - 153 Bermondsey Street
London Bridge
LONDON SE1 3HA
I have contacted Plilip Landau and he has confirmed that he would be interested in conducting a Class Action, in respect of Angard temps' who have been paid at a lower pay rate than advertised. He will need to know how to contact temps' with this difficulty. In view of the huge numbers involved, you may email this law firm or more suitably write, using a postcard, giving your name, address, email and marking the postcard Angard Pay rates. I hope this matter resolves soon but I am not hopeful; the government is keen to bring in local pay into the public sector and this may just be the start of a protracted fight.
