TWO post office workers have been arrested on suspicion of selling pirate DVDs.

Police officers, trading standard officials and investigators from Fact (the federation against copyright theft) swooped on Simonside Post Office in Binchester Street.

Equipment used for making counterfeit films was seized, and two men, aged 26 and 38, were arrested.

One of the men’s homes was then searched, and tablets thought to be illegal drugs were found.

Both men have now been bailed.

The raid came after a tip-off from a member of the public.

Neighbourhood Inspector Peter Sutton said: “A warrant was executed on Saturday and two males aged 38 and 26 arrested at the post office.

“One of their houses was then searched and a number of blue tablets seized. They have been sent for forensic tests.”

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
