acting manager help

Post by matt3c »

do you have to advertise internally for acting managers because a few have been taken on lately without being interviewed, just handpicked, i would like to know if this is allowed and if so why are the union sitting back and letting it happen?

Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09

You can usually tell a potential manager by the way he starts walking just prior to being made acting :cuppa

I always thought the normal process was to see your DOM and inform him you want to go acting then it goes from there.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

We have seven lads on the acting some with only 1 years service.

If you dont mind being treated like a tit put your name forward but dont think for one minute they will make you up to a DIM for at least 5 years.

Why would you want to do it is it for the money as you cant make any managerial decision without seeking your answers from above DIM now are just administrators who are weak and have no mind of there own.

Your choice my friend, but would like to point out one thing...... The posties who you will be told to give unreasonable work loads and requests to, who you will be told to discipline unjustly, who you will be encouraged to treat like something unpleasant on your shoe...... May be your next P&L buddy or on the next fitting...... RM has sadly created an environment which makes it impossible to do both jobs, "you can't run with the foxes and the hounds" as they say
