Not sure if this is posted in the right place but l just dont know what to do now..
I went for an interview with Angard re a christmas casual for Royal Mail.
I was told i would be starting work on November 7th subject to vetting process.
I heard nothing more despite trying to contact Angard who proved more elusive than Shergar! They either didn't answer the phone or hung up on you when they did.
November passed with no word and I received a phone call on the 2nd of December asking me to start on the 5th December at Orton Southgate,Peterborough starting at 8am-4pm.I did not receive a contract from Angard.
There was quite a few starting that day but we were asked if some of us would go to Huntingdon as they had too many people.
I volunteered because it didn't matter to me where I went. I was asked to
take another lad and bring him back each day(which took me 20 miles out of my way daily) and i would be re-imbursed.Of course i wasn't though That didn't happen. After 8 days at Huntingdon the other lad said he wasn't going any more because Peterborough were being paid per shiftand we got paid per hour.
I have received 2 payments from Angard in the form of cash for £350
and a voucher at the post office for £175. I have worked for 7 weeks at Huntingdon with no pay going into my bank.I have rang Angard weekly asking for my pay and i am told that i OWE Angard money.
Those are the only 2 payments i have received. They say l owe them £876 which l most certainly dont. I have now been laid off but no P45.
Since l have noit recieved anything apart from a 1p in my bank this has caused me to ring them eleven times yet still nothing has been sorted. I have told them all the hours l have worked and still l am waiting to be paid.
I am my wits end, l have bills and a mortgage to pay..

Re: Banging my head against a brick wall.
Have you kept a good record of the days and hours you have worked? Usefull when explaining what you did and for filling out ET1 form.
The mileage you have done extra? Who told you that you would be re-imbersed - Angard or Royal Mail and did you get it in writing? If not in writing I will not be surprised if you do not get it back.
Search for Reed Managed Services in Raynes Park in London - this is where the Angard payroll manager is supposedly located and telephone there - it might help and I seem to get some help there.
Alternatively, best results seem to be get yourself in a national newspaper or contacting Moya Greene and John Duncan (Moya Greene is the head of Royal Mail Group, John Duncan is HR director of Royal Mail Group and probably the most senior director of Angard) - faster results seem to come from e-mails to Moya.Greene@RoyalMail.com.
If the above fails you could try looking at other threads on here about ET1 - now you have left this might be your only option.

Re: Banging my head against a brick wall.
Thanks for the reply.. I was told by Royal Mail management regarding the petrol. That has long gone as nothing was in writing but again it leaves a sour taste in the mouth.
I have all the hours written done on a piece of paper signed by the manager of the branch were l was working. I have told Angard this hours three times now, last Monday, Tuesday and once again on Friday when l went and found out l was paid another penny into my account. I was told they would get back to me which they never did so l rang them again today and they still say i owe them money. When l questioned it they said they still had to ring the line manager for confirmation of my hours. Which just makes it even more infuriating.

Re: Banging my head against a brick wall.
ruddock, i'm inclined to agree with Verging on reading other posts regarding the ET1. also send angard emails, it's cheaper and you can keep a log too.
after some weeks of pestering, i got some cash today so it can happen, just be persistent by email and as Verging said, email Moya Greene - there is another link on who to email - john.duncan@royalmail.com, mark.higson@royalmail.com, and this email address too - JustSayIt <justsayit@royalmail.com>.
good luck!

Re: Banging my head against a brick wall.
Thanks for the reply.
I sent off a couple of emails yesterday and recieved a phone call from Angard today. Once again l had to repeat what l told them that l had not recieved any money since Christmas and they had not paid me the amounts they said they had. In all honesty the girl on the end of the phone was pretty clueless. It looks like l won't be paid tomorrow either. For the life of me l cannot see why they just dont ask the site manager l worked for who put all my hours down and signed the paper for me when l told him about the non-payments.
It works out they owe me just over £890 which does not include the holiday hours l have earned. I agree my only options now are to claim from the forms and to contact the local press.
I know l am not the only one out there but what a bloody shambles.

Re: Banging my head against a brick wall.
complete the ET1 form (the site is slow but persevere) then send an email to Angard and all the other top names and advise them of the employment tribunal number then see how long it takes them to come back to you?!?ruddock wrote:Thanks for the reply.

Re: Banging my head against a brick wall.
I sent a couple of emails and got a reply that about how sorry they were and l would be contacted today but as yet that has not happened. Looked at my bank details today and have been paid 1p again. I already told them the problem as early as last Tuesday and still they cant get it right. Bills are now due and l am at boiling point..
One quick question about filling out the ET1form. I guess l make the complaint against Angard Staffing? but what address to l put down?
Cheers

There are a few threads on the ET1 and a few suggestions on those about the address to put down.

Re: Banging my head against a brick wall.
Just had a phone call and it looks like there just might be a light at the end of this very dark tunnel. Lets hope so anyway. Thanks for your help and l hope everyone gets what they are owed.
Looks like there are some people trying to sort this mess out.
