back pay

Hi all! Had to cut off today but enjoyed seeing the management team struggling out the door with all the cut offs.

I asked my union rep if the pay would be back dated under the proposed two year deal and he said no. This deal stinks and if we ever accept it that is 6 months back pay gone.

Having a laugh. CWU negotiators wont accept but just in case, we have a vote and the members will say b--ls to you. In the current offer from RM they have agreed to increase pay using ESOS. My question is " if ESOS money is available why is it not already part of our basic pay as per a previous RM/CWU agreement?

So 6.7 % over 2 years - 2% increase in employee pension contributions, thats 3.35% -2% =1.35% per annum, I'll just contact my financial advisor

If I have read it right we get a rise this year and next year but the next review (in other words discussion with CWU) would be 2010. 1 year without a pay rise .

If this goes to ballot I am voting NO on this bit alone, but as it won't its a moot point.
