Transfer requests

I have applied for a transfer request to another office about 4 years ago and since then only received 1 phone call asking if i still
wanted the my transfer,since then i have herd nothing.
Has anybody else had trouble with transfer requests??

i never had a problem got mine within 6 weeks but i do no posties who have applied for transfers in the kent area who r having problems

Unfortunately hard to see the DOM as i'm in Edinburgh and the transfer area is Cambride/Suffolk area.

All I can say is good luck, royal fail have continually screwed me over with trying to get a transfer. I decided a couple of weeks ago that after a month off with stress (when your wife and home are over 200 miles from where you work, essentially stranded in a job you now hate, can you blame me?) the best thing to do would be to jack this s**t excuse of a job in and leave with what dignity they haven't fleeced off me!

I've been waiting for over 3 yrs I've tried everything believe me. It's like hitting your head against a brick wall I've pretty much given up hope. It's a magic roundabout of bullshit. 3 offices I've put down all had vacancies. Get told sorry due to revisions we may lose the vacancies. After revision still vacancies. Oh sorry we can't take anyone due to the mtsf and people may be offered those vacancies. even tho they have had vacancies for over 2 years with the same agency staff doing them. Now they are offering the vacancies out on 9 month contracts to outsiders. It's frustrating to say the least. After 23 years in job they fob you off.

When i was enquiring about a transfer i was told by my manager it would only be possible if i accepted part time hours
my union rep supported that claim, although i was advised on here that that was complete bollocks, if i transferred, i keep my hours !

Not sure if i understand u correctly, but i was under the impression if for example you were a full time postman on 39 hours a week, and wanted a transfer to "North-West office", u could only get that transfer when someone with that position/hours left and made a spot for u.
i was informed by manager and union rep, that regardless of that, i would have to accept part time hours, (i was informed here that that is wrong info,)
