reading the first post on this thread . . .it does say to serve notice so to delay later start for max 12 weeks then you can then continue to work under protest and remain the right to sue if you want .
if everybody did this it would delay the later starts and probably piss management off as some people want to start later they wouldnt have a clue who was starting when . . .

Well if norbert's theory is correct and the CWU have already signed away your rights regarding attendance times then we are legaly stuffed, but not practically stuffed cos we could still all strike about it and RM would be in the s**t. If he's not correct in his surmise, which given the fact that any such concession on the CWU's part would inevitably flow through to Longs/shorts ,summer/winter loadings, shift flexibility,does seem a bit unlikely then 170,000 employees suffering a breach of contract and entitled to civil redress doesnt appear to me to constitute individual grievance.

RM would have great difficulty even simply proving the operational need for such a breach we know EU law change is a red herring ,I don't think helping DSA providers achieve the handover deadlines will stand up.
Of course our primary response must be united IA but lets not be browbeaten with so called legal intimidation it's all there on the ACAS website, we do have rights

told my line manager that i wont do early starts as it dont fit in with my lifestyle. as in i got me twins at school. told tuff and i gota sort it out my end. but he did say and i dont know if he giving me crap but job may well be even later start as we only have to give one delivery a day and one collection a day no matter what the time is. dos anyone here heard that ??

if we dont agree with this they will tell us that our contracts dont actually have a start and finnish time we are contracted to 40hrs does nt matter if we start at 5 or 7 as long as we get the 40 hrs our contract says also they will then tell us that we are also allowed to keep the early allowance therefore we are not loosing money :cfo :lfo

We have been told we are starting on the 8th october the later starts.
The union has a go this morning at the dom for not talking with the union.
What the dom says, all the drivers, rurals, town walks start at 5am.They will cut and tip and sort until 6am
Then the rest start at 6am.
The drivers,rurals, and town walks wont have to wait for the missort van

i told my dom i wont be able to work on sat until 1pm as hubby goes to work at 10.30am( i have 3 kids, 12, 2 and 3)
He says he cant help.
He says today, those that have trouble with the later working has to put it in writing, and has a interview.
there are a lot of people with kids, and people who do footie on saturday.
Its going to get nasty, ready for the steel helmets and duck lads!!!!!!!

can someone please tell me.

if i have signed a contract stipulating my hours of work, and i havent signed anything saying i will work later, when the changes come in am i within my rights to work to my old contract? or will it become obselete? i dont want later starts!
