Monday & Tuesday all the temp staff can have a day off as we only have to work till 2.55pm. But if you get back before this time you will find yourself iver on the sorting or cleaning the toilets. You can THANK are very kind manager MR C and his own rules for this!!!!!!!!!!! Wednesday to friday. we have around 2 to 3 loops taking off most walks!! If you are in an office that is just getting this revision in then i would say go for a HCT duty as most of them in NEW FERRY DELIVERY OFFICE are 2-3 hour dutys plus you dont have to take heavy and large parcels and tracked items. One other thing if you think that you are good at your job now, then think again!!! once this revision comes in and you have a manager like MR C He will test your sorting!! he will be watching your every move! then telling you that you are not up to scratch!!! This is because they have made the rounds inposable to do and finish in the time!! So who do they blame?? YOU!!! Ive now been doing this job for 22 years! There has never been a problem with my performance level, But now since the REVISION me and my partner now have 1500 calls > 100 plus heavy and large items and regs. There now is a problem!!!

Good luck to all

Hey max I know Mr.C and I no your rep, now Mr.C isnt the brightest of DIMS so why isnt your rep on his case making life a little tougher for him.

As for cleaning the toilets if Mr.C asked me to do I would tell him to go jump that isnt in the remit of a postal worker.

In my D/O were getting info on your office regular only from other posties but everyone else I speak to about your D/O keeps stum as if everything is running great.

Any hows its our turn tomorrow Ours is being brought in ,in 2 phases 1st phase tomorrow should be fun from all the reports and horror stories we have been hearing .

If the lads choose to come back to the D/O early its there own fault if DIM MR.C is finding work for them by the sounds of it Mr.C has been through the R/M brain washing machine .

This is how you get your loops completed on time soon to be in every D/O replacing the new slower vans.

Cleaning Toilet's is not a reasonable request your job is to sort and deliver mail and packets no where within your job description does it say you have to become a cleaner, sorry got no objections to cleaning a loo but it is someone else s job and if you do it it means that someone's job goes!

The DIM is just making use of the "utilisation of paid hours" bit of either BTA or P&M (can't remember which one of the two it's in). If they return early too often then the DIM may notice the pattern and add more delivery points to their walks

Problem with that is that staff cut corners, come in early, don't take meal breaks, they are just a few bits that the DIM knows but chooses to ignore because that is to his/her benefit!!but the job of a postal member is to do the job of mail and packets, sorting and delivery :Very Happy

Reps have been banging this drum for years and the members choose to ignore the advice.

Then when the s**t hits the fan the members come crying to the rep as there getting more indoor work.

If this what it takes to open up there eyes then so be it ,its just a pity it takes the actions of DIM to open up there eyes I have no sympathy at all for those coming back early and getting put on the IPS.

In any other workplace you work your full hours simples job and finish never really existed any hows as we are always being watched and everything is noted.

Get ready Max for them coming back for more hours next year due to the actions of the members in your office.

Ive heard because your P/L isnt working with the partners that some are using there own cars,if this is true I am glad im not in your D/O as these folk are damaging it.

Anyway good luck as I said yesterday ours started today and I didnt complete ,loads of rulings also it will be fun and games from wednesday onwards.

And what about when the DOM notices you finishing early all the time and adds more delivery points to your walk?

Space until people have a 1000 plus calls on there rounds only then will they understand. I agree with your post fully

Plus the new PDAS have gprs on them and im sure the dims can log on a track your van.

I have heard a little rumour that R/M are trialling devices ( very small ) that track you.

From what I was told when you get to your first delivery point you turn it on put it in your pocket hand back when you get to d/o ,if it is true we will have to wait and see.

My God MADMAXMS this sounds unbelievable!!! Just wondering on the days you are made to work until 14:55, what is your actual finishing time, this Mr C can`t make you work past your normal finishing time.
With your new revision did you change your IPS, and are you sorting to the optimum performance for this Mr C to test your performance on a revision changed IPS.
Your 100 heavy and large items equates to 2 full yorks everyday, this certainly seems like a lot of parcels, have you got this right. What I suggest you do is go and speak with your manager about your problems and discuss a way forward to make your work life more enjoyable, as after 22 years you must have mor knowledge thaan most of your colleagues, why don`t you put this into positive perspective and enjoy life instead of maning about it.

Elstree why would he lie theres no need to print untruths.

I take it everything is rosy in your office you run.

Have you ever been part of a revision of course the IPS has changed ,from what I can gather correct me if im wrong max your office went on a 4 day week.

Have you also not noticed the rise in packets, tracked etc over the last few years in R/M so its not unreasonable to think that he is getting two full yorks of packets thats the norm now.

Just out of curiosity what do you do in R/M are you a PHG,driver, postie and dare I say it ooppps no I want.
