Eon recruits former Asda and Royal Mail boss Leighton to explain bills to customers

Relief is at hand for customers of Eon struggling to understand their bills – the energy giant has recruited serial entrepreneur Allan Leighton to help them.
The man who sold Asda to Walmart for £6.7billion and transformed the fortunes of Royal Mail has agreed to become chairman of Eon’s independent Customer Council.
Its task is to come up with an easy to understand energy bill for its 5.5million customers. Leighton, himself an Eon customer, said he was looking forward to helping solve the problem of incomprehensible energy bills.
He is offering his services free, though Eon will make a charitable donation. The initiative comes as regulator Ofgem presses for a model bill so that consumers may compare suppliers more easily.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

We already know what his explanation will be - Your overpaid and underworked - Eon should charge you more.

Considering how complicated he made mail prices I'll be surprised if EON customers don't become even more confused.

I have a cold so I can't really do the smutty atm, I'll be back to normal in a few days
