A bit of a shocker but not in the usual way. An 87 year old lady opened the door with massive bruising, two black eyes and cuts to her face. She'd had a fall a few days ago, over a workmans ladder, while he was working on her house. He'd asked her to bring him something and she'd tripped over the ladder he had left at the bottom of some steps. He hadn't helped her to hospital nor helped her up, he hadn't phoned an ambulance, he hadn't even asked her if she was alright. He kept on working while she bled into a towel, in the same room as him. Her family had taken her to hospital later she was in for 8 hours. Turns out I deliver to him - she asked me not to say anything. What's the postie equivalent of spitting on a burger? She was plucky and said when it's her time it's her time, in the circumstances I found that very sad. I can't believe there are people out there like him.

FFS don't do anything against him, you'll be the one that ends up in trouble. But, all those little things we do to help people (that we're not really supposed to do) can be stopped.

Don't you just love National Trust, a large catalogue with a smaller but thicker one with its spine going at right angles to the other? Just about fudged getting each one through letterbox without making them attendance calls or trying to rotate the small book 90 degrees.

Arrived today to see a s*** load on my fitting and even more on the primary, oh and two sacks of packets. Therefore, unlike yesterday when everything was boxed in, I ended up spending 40 minutes on this before I could bag up. did not get out until 11.10 am, and finished 30 minutes over. Why can't all days be like yesterday and just bag up when I arrive .

Finished over time, (nothing unusual there ) but earliest finish on a Monday in ages. After Saturdays earlier than usual finish I'm just wondering where the mails gone....
