Debt collectors on workers:Angard letter asking for money?

Also received payslip this morning .. 2 days missing (1st& 2nd Dec)
pay rate w/e 9th Dec (nights) incorrect
pay w/e 16th Dec incorrect

pay received by POL voucher shows £259.60 .. I have never set eyes on this voucher

balance owed by me, to be paid by cheque to Royal Mail, is £100.

I'm laughing at it but it is hysterical laughter

phoned Angard straight away but only got the stonewall call takers (I'm starting to have pity on them)

My son was paid (allbeit at about £2.00+ an hour less than he was advised originally) but he too has 2nd December missing as well as the last week ending 23rd December. I think he only got part paid for the other weeks because I rang through and told them the hours he had worked since the end of November!

loobyloo - on the back of your letter it states how to contact them. i personally used email because it's cheaper!

Doh! Thanks for that! I plan to take Fishtank's advice (as qutoed on the first comment in this thread) about sending them a letter via recorded delivery etc. although I guess as long as I keep a copy of the email I send them that would also be enough proof that I haven't just 'ignored' the letter..

They say I owe them money. I do not. They owe me money. They owe 7 days wages plus all the holiday pay plus mistakes in NI and PAYE. Sent an email to the helpline and a recorded delivery letter to the CEO, Angard Staffing Solutions, 100 Victoria Embankment, EC4Y 0HQ giving a breakdown of what they owe me and why and if they don't pay it in 7 days I will make a claim against them and if they attempt to recover the money they allege I owe I will seek an injunction. Next stop Employment Tribunal if they haven't paid me in 7 days. I recommend everyone does the same.

Hi guys..I too got a similar letter asking me to send them a cheque for £700 back ...
my hours are wrongly calculated..
all the money they have given is spent for christmas and there are few quids remaining.....
how can i sent them such a big amount...
i never stolen any thing or demanded them any money...
its clearly their mistake ...why should i suffer for that?
shoud i ask them to make it easy installlments like £50 x 14 months..so that i can pay the last installments from my 2012 Xmas pay also

if you get a chance to read other threads, you'll notice that a lot of us have already gone down the employment tribunal route. some completed their forms in december!
i'd say complete your ET1 form and get in line.

This Sundays Observer newspaper will have an article apparently for the carry on with Angard, so have a look for it, they have also sent me a letter saying I owe them 338.00 ! my hours are screwed up, and the rates are all over the place, I did not agree to work for minimum wage! I got no advice as to the rate I would be working for it was physical and hard and they advertised at 3.58 to 9odd quid they are supposed to advise you of your pay rate and give hours etc on day you start that didnt happen at all for all the workers at Mallusk NI a bloody sham and the manager there needed some training in communication skills to say the least he humiliated me totally and I will never forget it!

Never will I let myself get into that situation again, I was desperate for work but in future I will check everything first !

I've completed the ET1 form and have a hearing on the 9th March, I have also received a leter from ACAS saying that they will be speaking to me shortly about this in the hope of me agreeing to an early settlement.

All I want is the pay I am owed and possibly enough compensation to cover the costs of approx 1 hour 10 mins on the 0845 number, by the way does anyone know how much this number costs per minute?

I know its free from my landline number. Can't you check your bill online? it should list previous calls & costs.

0845 numbers are definitely not free. However, some landline providers include 0845 numbers in their call packages and so they may appear to be free (you have already paid for them!). I am not aware of any mobile providers that give you 0845 calls as part of your contract - indeed, the cost of these calls from mobiles can be significant.

Received a letter from angard saying i owe them 643.52 after receiveing 880.00 pound so there saying i worked for three weeks at 37.5 hours plus overtime in that period for 236.48 angard are jokers or there payroll Team are young children. And also i have got into debt with bank for direct debit charges and fallen behind on rent so i haven't even seen that money. just emailed them with this information but i won't hold my breath for a reply but i have been told that if you email them and keep it they can't say you haven't got hold of them. this will be a stronger case for us. same here,
had a letter from Angard saying that I owed them £322. They had missed out at least a week's work and holiday pay. I told them to recalculate and I got EXACTLY the same letter through. The I phoned up and told them about it. This weak I got a letter through telling me I owed them over £200. In fact they owe me.

Totally ridiculous. I'm going to the citizen's advice bureau. Total joke.
