Friday 20th January Pay Issues

Post by markadam1962 »

Another week and another Angard payment that bares not relation to the hours worked. 18 hours for £66. Last week 17 hours £73

What annoys me most of all is that I have written emails to payrole time and time again and apart from the automated response I have not had any reply. How are people supposed to manage budgets if Payrole get the simple thing wrong time and time again?

Why should it be my responsibility to each week have to sit down with a calculator, fire off emails and try and explain to my creditors that the £20 quid In thought I was getting can't be paid as I don't have the spare money. Angard have NEVER sent a single correct payslip to me since September.

Anyone else in the same boat?

I have 12 hrs outstanding pay then Holiday pay owed.

I rang up on 4th Jan and was told be sorted by 11th Jan. This isn't case have rang up twice since On Friday 13th and Mon 16th and left messages and been told someone will contact me. It's nearly 3 weeks now. This week i sent a letter to Northampton to see if i hear anything still waiting. Anyone had response from the address on website?

Finally got through to someone who can access the payroll systems earlier in the week. To be fair he has gone out of his way to help me and has been phoning me every day with updates. Seems obvious though that for whatever reason, angard have no complete records of hours worked. I had to give him detailed accounts of all my hours and rates so he could find the difference in wages paid/received. Thankful I kept a detailed spreadsheet of my hours and pay, as i know others did not and they must be having a hell of a time trying to get what they are owed.

Got about 150 through today, but still owed 275 + 145 holiday pay. Promised the rest by next Friday, and for the first time since this started, I actually believe I will get it.

How do you know who your local Angard Rep is - I have no idea who it is. Dont think we have anyone at the Mail Centre (although my understanding is we should).

I've had 1p paid into my account, 2nd week on the trot. Assuming I get a payslip tomorrow it will make interesting reading. I was finished up on 31st December, however, I am still owed hours and money from where I was paid the wrong rate, also of course holiday pay. They have said I owe them money, so are they taking what they say I owe them from what they actually owe me? Talk about confusing. I have been to see my bank to establish if Angard can take money out of my account and I was advised that they can only take money through a bacs payment. Even more confusing.

That is worrying - I didn't they could take money via Bacs thought it was just a way of paying only.

Just contacted Bacs helpline, who control Bacs Credit Payment and Direct Debit. The helpline have stated no company can take money via Bacs, once a credit has been made, without that company having a Direct Devit mandate. Indeed they claimed they would reject the request and not even contact your bank.

I received 1p today and a letter from a firm of solicitors saying that they have been appointed to represent Angard at the ET so at least they're incurring solicitors' costs; the letter alone will probably have cost them £50.

They have also sent me a contract to sign and return - 6 weeks after I left. I have put it in the bin along with the letter from the solicitors. I have told them what they owe me and that if I don't get it and compensation I will go to the ET and after winning there I will go to the County Court for compensation citing stress, time and admin costs. The funniest thing is that because they paid me for a week that I didn't work the actual amount in question is only about £40 but as they can't get anything right on the pay slips, nor the tax, nor the tax code, nor the holiday pay I don't see why I should let them off the hook.

The only people who can take money out of your bank account against your will is another bank using the same banking licence and only then if you owe one of the banks money; or someone who has illegally got hold of your debit card details plus your name and address for example from an online purchase from a shop where a shop employee steals your information and uses that information to obtain a pay day loan which they then repay from your bank account. I know cos it happened to me last summer and it took a lot of argument to get the money back.
