Network 12

Post by POSTMAN »

Dear Colleague

Network 12 – Local Engagement

The department has been made aware that approaches have been made from management at a number of VOC’s seeking participation from Representatives in preliminary data gathering activity relating to the Network 12 National revision. As you are aware in the previous two years this activity has been commenced jointly via a National terms of reference for the annual revision and it is extremely disappointing that management have chosen to ignore the BT Agreement approach and covertly try to commence this activity.

At this time, despite the commitment in the Business Transformation agreement to deploy annual revisions by the end of summer, a number of 2011 efficiency revisions within Network have still to be concluded and transformation payments released.

Branches and representatives are therefore advised that the business were informed at a National Network Steering Group meeting on the 5th December 2011, that the department believe that all focus should be on resolving 2011 commitments in regard to revisions and our members reward payments, prior to commencing activity on any 2012 commitments within RDC’s or Network Distribution.

Representatives are therefore requested not to participate in any joint activity relating to Network 12 until all outstanding issues relating to 2011 revisions are resolved and a programme for engagement in joint activity for Network 12 has been agreed at National level and circulated to Branches.

Branches are requested to ensure that all Network LGV Representatives are made aware of the contents of this LTB.

Any enquiries in relation to this LTB should be addressed to Terry Pullinger, Assistant Secretary, email dwyatt@cwu.org, quoting reference 233.08.

Yours sincerely

Terry Pullinger
Assistant Secretary

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Management at it again, going against the national agreement. Nothing changes! As a Network driver i am getting a bit peed off with all the changes, my own duty is now completely different to what i signed for. Plenty of planners in suits about though.

Are they trying to get this in by April 2012? Usual rumours that there might be redundancies due to MLO closures. Talking to a Cov Hub driver the other night they might be doing just PFWW duties only out of there and Royal Mail work going back to NDC as PFWW want to go back to having there own on site operation. Re. Network 2012 are we getting a £400 lump sum? on it being implemented, I thought we had the last payment at the last repick.
