When you get an overdraft letter from the bank you get charged £30 - £50.
If you wrote to angard detailing how much you are owed and told them that any further letter from you on this debt would be invoiced at say £30, and then put an invoice in with every subsequent letter.
If its legal for the banks and bailifs to escalate a debt like this why not?

Re: Would this work?
No, because Angard never signed any such contractual agreement with you before hand.

Yes but people wouldn't be in their overdrafts if angard had payed on time, so in theory angard should be paying back these fee's to people as they never held up to their end of the contract about "weekly arrears"clum wrote:No, because Angard never signed any such contractual agreement with you before hand.

I'm probably wrong about this but it doesn't look as if the ET can award you compensation, just what you're owed. But once you've got that judgement I wold think that you'd have a watertight case to go to the County Court, Small Claims and sue Angard for time, overdraft fees and possibly stress. that is what I am going to do, so long as my solicitor says it's worth it, if they don't pay me properly and give me some compensation for the grief they've caused.

Sure in theory. You can't simply invoice or send them a "charge" for it though, it would need to be pursued through lawyers/courts.Mikey456 wrote:Yes but people wouldn't be in their overdrafts if angard had payed on time, so in theory angard should be paying back these fee's to people as they never held up to their end of the contract about "weekly arrears"clum wrote:No, because Angard never signed any such contractual agreement with you before hand.
