I think most staff that have worked for Angard have had letters to say they owe money to Angard for over payment,to be honest i really don't think the right hand knows what the left hand are doing,we still have people who have not been paid for most of what they worked it is a disgrace,i cannot believe these people are still having to go through all this,i really hope you all get what you are owed and if you owe them they should scrub it for the total unprofessional way that all of this has been handled.

Its pretty clear that RM/Anagard have major flaws. Your proof should be when you signed in for a shift. Postman are always getting into trouble for not signing in or out. This is a breach of the terms and conditions you will have signed.

ET1 is not good. Get a lawyer and ask for a audit too.

debt of pay to angard

Post by tonkpils »

So the latest trick from angard is to say that i owe them 221.97. The t theyhing thats worng with that is that there is more than 50 hour un accounted for in the 'statment' they they sent out to me in the post. I dont not have a clue what they are playin at. And the fact that i owe them money yet they keep payin me 1p into my account here and there that is sayin somthing because if i owe them why are they giving me any money what so ever. And for them to pay that 1p in to my account is pretty stupid in its self because the transaction for doin that costs more than what they are payin into my account each time.. They still dont know what they are doin

i also have received my individual payroll statement from when i was working at the prestom mail centre and yes i did get a voucher of £350 so it looks like i am going to have to pay it back as i dont have a cheque book that wont be easy and now that i am back on JSA i am in no postition to pay it in full so am waiting to hear back from them what the next steps are

i have also found out what net deduction is for it is the tax off the £350 voucher

I'd double check you definitely do owe it to them. There's a lot of us who have been told we owe Angard money, when it isn't the case.
It seems to be quite common (looking across the forums), that Angard have us down for the wrong number of hours.
Part of the reason that Angard think I owe them money is because they have me down as working 49 hours over a 2.5 week period, when I actually worked over 100 hours.

I can't vouch for yours, but MY 'net deduction's definitely aren't just for tax, as they took back over £270 via this method. Given they only gave me one £350 voucher to start with, that would be a tax rate of over 75%, so that would be wrong.

Same position here got a letter stating I owe angard 66.11 and recieved 700 in vouchers. In reality I'm owed about 400 and recieved a voucher of 350. What I have done is go speak to my angard rep. At least u get to see someone face to face. What I did was contact the reedglobal office and confirmed that's were the office with an angard rep was. I then took all pay docs and an eviction letter in, guess what if I don't get paid by Friday il get a voucher. Worth s go folks.

How did you prove the hours you worked? That's my problem - they have me down as working totally wrong hours for 2.5 weeks (another 2 weeks they have correct). And it's quite a long way out - it isn't just one day's timesheet they might have lost - it'd have to be 4-5 at least.

Each royal mail site has a bookroom, if you speak to the angard rep at your local reed office they can contact the bookroom at the site you worked at and verify your hours. That's what I've done. It's a complete mess but hope this helps get u sorted. Even get a mate to phone and say ul be getting evicted should speed up the process and ask about getting a voucher for any outstanding pay.

Ah it's made slightly more complicated because the site I was working at was the Portbury Outhouse, and it was only a site over Christmas. As I understand it, the site closed on around the 23rd December (I'm not sure as I was working at a different centre for 23/24 December..as I'd been offered the chance to do some deliveries before Christmas), so nobody/nothing is still there. Managers I worked with went back to whichever site they normally worked on - some to Montpelier, some to Filton probably.
Thanks for your info though. It might come in handy (if not to me, then to someone else). I had no idea there were local Angard reps - we only saw two members of Angard staff in the whole of December, and I seem to recall we were told they'd traveled a long way to see us.

Angard emailed me saying they owed me 191 pound plus hol pay which should be around 25 hours. They sent me a statement declaring I owe them 73 pound and my pay rate was over 1.40 ph less than my contract rate. After an email I was told the money will come off my pay yet after working it out theyl still owe me almost 60 quid. People in the same position contact acas they will try for you and then youl have a professional on your side for any tribunal.case easily won

Sorry but ACAS do not take sides so a professional would not be on your side as you so put it, the only way you can have a professional on your side is if you take a solisitor ect with you. ACAS are simply there to try and reach an agreement between two parties before court, they do not side with either party.
