Received letter today saying I owe them £258.49. Angard are a Joke. Is anyone else who received letters going to pay? I don't see why we should. We did the work as expected and got everything cleared on time. Its not our fault angard can't work payslips correctly. They are the ones who messed everything up. They should be grateful that we turned up and worked hard and bare in mind its their fault rather than the hard workers!

i received a joke in my post today masquerading as a statement, i'm very tempted to tell them what to do with it but i figure i'll tap that pleasure onto legal action.

After receiving the letter from angard stating that i owed them money i contacted my local law centre, and was told that "unless i can prove that i honestly believed i had been paid correctly and subsequently spent the money on something that i would not have normally paid for (ie luxury holiday) i would be liable to to be sued in court."

im still not going to pay at this stage, as i simply do not have the means, and the 'amount owed' is based on a timesheet that stated i worked 30 hour weeks when i was on a 37.5 hour week, another in an embarrising catalogue of errors on angards part. considering the depth and breath of these errors i am tempted to go and defend myself should they pursue litigation against me (and everyone else in my situation).

I have just received a letter from Angard today saying that I owe them £483.31
I only got one voucher from them for £350,but they are saying that I got more.
I will break the letter down in a simple manner.

TOTAL GROSS PAY.......£878.03

DEDUCTIONS..............£185.71

NET PAY...................£692.32

PAYROLL PAYMENTS TO YOUR BANK ACCOUNT......386.80

ADVANCES MADE POL VOUCHER/CASH/BANK TRANSFER...£788.83

BALANCE OWED BY YOU,DUE FOR REPAYMENT..£483.31

There is no mention of the week that they took roughly £240 off me as unaccountable deductions, then paid me 1p.
I will have to get my past pay slips out, photo copy them, then send them back to Angard.

I received a letter today saying I owe £1,643! Apparently I should have only been paid £49.92, which is the amount I was paid the one week I DID get a payslip!

Haven't a clue what I have been paid for. I received two vouchers, then nothing the following week, then this £49.92 for the last couple of days then the following week, after they said the wages should be sorted out that week, £900 odd which I assumed was the amount outstanding including holiday pay.

yikes everyone!

thank you for this forum!

dear all, as someone else said - whilst you may not pay back what you do or do not owe, please make sure that you respond to Angard by email telling them where the statement is wrong, that way they can't tell you that you ignored them!

They want me to pay back £350 for the voucher. I did receive all the wages I should for the 5 weeks PLUS the voucher so I guess I have to pay them

I wonder how long I can put it off before they take action

You lot had me worried thinking I'd contacted them in the wrong way (Angard have told me I owe them money when I don't), but I've just checked the small print about contacting them, and realised the email address to contact them on is the same one I've emailed three times in the last 10 days, telling them their information is wrong. Each time a new payroll statement, or updated payslip, etc. arrives, it's just as wrong as the last.

They've not replied to any, but the autoreply email tells me they have received them. (It also tells me not to keep emailing them, but I'll stop emailing them when they stop writing me stupid letters with the wrong information on.)

Hi everyone, I also got a letter earlier this week saying I owe Angard alot of money (which I don't...!), I'm getting legal advice later today and I would also like to send a reply to the letter that I have been sent. Any ideas of where I should send a letter?!?

For anyone that has made reasonable efforts to contact them and does not receive redress, then the Employment Tribunal is the next step. You can moan all you like, but unless the company has a meaningful threat over them, they have no motive to do anything but ignore your emails. You are Xthousandth in the queue.

loobyloo - on the back of your letter it states how to contact them. i personally used email because it's cheaper!
