My name's rebecca and I'm not a postie but I'm in an organisation called Workers Power and we have been campaigning around the issue of the postal strike, holding meetings and doing fundraising and visiting picket lines. I also admin the 'I Support the Postal Workers!' group on facebook :-) and I'm a member of AMICUS/UNITE

Red Rebbecca and thanks for the support gratefully appreciated. On my picket line we have had support from the SWP and comrades of yours from Unite so thanks it is appreciated.

Were you at a meeting organised by NOII in Liverpool a few months ago comrade?

yeah that was me demonstrating how scared of public speaking I can get! was an interesting event, with a good attendence, but it was a pity they weren't taking resolutions. Have just signed up to the NOII list in Leeds so will be able to find out what's going on over here (have just moved from manc)

what did you think of the conference?

I thought you spoke very well. You looked far less nervous than I felt when I was your age addressing meetings, so stick with it. I thought the conference was very worthwhile and highlighted cases the media don't want to mention. I was the skinhead at the back of the hall and the lad with me is my son. People don't expect revolutionaries to have shaved heads and wear Dr Martens.
