2012/2013 business plan and mech changes

i wondered if any of you have had a new business plan put forward in your mail centre for april 2012
dorset mail centre managers want all 2c mech
and walk sequencing down by the night shift entirely with all current mech duties on earlies being lost.
anybody else going through the same issues or proposed.union has turned it down entirely at the moment as no mech will be done during earlies at all

all mech staff on earlies lose jobs to manual and possible dsa/cut and tip jobs only

the business plan makes no sense with premium rates of nda covering cheaper alternatives on earlies

How would nights be able to cope with all inward arrivals,and any dsa left by lates,AND the 2c?Unlikely,what mech machinery you got there?
A more likely plan would be to send it to a nearby MC for processing on their early turn,much like has happened with PO 2c going to SO MC?

i wonder if management our secretly planning to get the 2c transferred out of our mail centre (Dorset) to another mail centre
it doesnt add up?

is it true that southampton does all of pompeys 2c now or just part of it?

ie all mech and manual 2c letters,flats and all 2c packets

does Southampton have the capacity to do all of pompey and bh/dt 2c?

Yes,SO MC does ALL 2c traffic from PO.
If SO MC was to fully staff all 4 IMPS on earlys then they could prob do all SO,PO and BH mech.
How much 2c mech do you get on average?

AB MC process 2c mech on late shift, then forward outward selections onward to glasgow.

Manual + Flats still goto glasgow/edinburgh

however the whole thing is very strange because the early shift only had a revision in sept last year and they are looking for changes again

if someone signs in a revision then you have to stay in post for a year.does that not apply when management introduce a revision surely they have to agree to a year of work in the same duties before change? does anyone know?

I think if they propose big changes such as duties going,or start finish times changing that affects a certain percentage of staff,then there has to be a resign.I expect FT or dingo would know exactly what critiera needs to be met?
