Whats going on?
Right so at the start of december i did 5 days work for angard at york mail centre, i only did 5 days because i got another job thank god lol, anyway i went in a few weeks later as i had not been paid and one of the managers gave me one of them £350 vouchers, since then i have been keeping about £200 in my bank account so angard can take it out if they want only up to now they havent, just checked my bank account this morning and today angard have paid me 1p. i know they are still paying people that worked there recently the 1p but i left weeks ago and still waiting for them to take out the money they overpaid me. i know its only 1p but they need to stop paying me and take some money out, maybe they think i have done more work for them or somthing i dont know? i feel like ringing them up and asking what the hells going on but then again if they are not going to bother taking out some money then ill quite happily keep the £350 for 5 days work.

They aren't just going to be able to take money out of your account without you setting up some sort of payment or direct debit. So i'd expect a letter from them or phone call asking you to do this, it probably won't be til next year sometime though so i wouldn't worry about it just yet ;)

You think it's going to take until 2013 to sort this outpaikes wrote:They aren't just going to be able to take money out of your account without you setting up some sort of payment or direct debit. Re: Whats going on?
Things have changed for me now. Phoned them yesterday and they are now claiming I've been paid correctly. For the week before xmas I was paid £100, and the week after I was paid 1p. £50 a week for the busiest weeks of the year, about 60 hours altogether, and they are actually saying that this is correct.
I now really believe it's a scam. RM are trying to save money by not paying honest wages for honest work. It's shameful.

Re: Whats going on?
No voucher. The £100 was an emergency payment for a week when I didn't get paid, they have reclaimed that from the next weeks pay (hence the 1p) but are refusing to pay the proper wages which they missed. They say "you've been paid £100" but that's been deducted!! They don't seem to understand. It doesn't matter now I've found a way around it. My manager will add any outstanding hours to my hours worked this week, and I'll get it that way.
