John0745 - sorry they are not necessarily paid the same and this is not a wind-up - dont blame the messenger. The long term casuals usually have been paid the same : the Christmas casuals do get different rates dependent upon where they are working. It is poor on the part of RM/Angard but they will pay more in areas where they need to and less where there are places with high demand for work - there is no national agreed pay rate for casuals. For Christmas casuals the day rate is usually 6.35 but night rates/Sunday rates have varied dependent upon where they work - see the other thread I posted a link to in a previous reply in this thread. As a long term casual I have been paid 2 weeks at the 6.35 rate and 2 weeks at the 6.08 rate. Not sure what my last week is paid at - awaiting a pay slip and need to check my payment at the bank.john0745 wrote:all angard staffing casuals (within 12 weeks constant employment) are paid the same.. and in the same way...this has been debated for month's on this forum.. so stop with the f***ing windups m8,,, the guy's on here that havent been paid or havent been paid the correct money thats due to them dont need this kinda s**t.... The reason i ask "am i unique" is because i have been paid for all the hours i have worked. My only problem was that they always paid me at the wrong rate. On reciept of my payslip although very slow to arrive i have called Anguards pay query no and explained the problem to them and hey presto the difference was made up the following week. I have had no problems with them at all. However saying that i worked with a lot of people that were having a hell of a time getting angaurd to see that an error was being made each and every time we were paid. After looking a bit closer into the wage prob it turned out that we at the Poole centre were being paid £8.11 an hour for a night shift and £10.21 on sundays which i believe is very different to other centres.
Luckily for me it has all turned out fine and im still working nights at the Poole mail centre.
Is there any body else on this forum that has had no real problems with Anguard

Re: am i unique here ?????
I was quoted £7.84 for nights in early December when I got through to Angard. They've messed up my wages big time no voucher and got nothing at all until Xmas eve. It's not a wind up. It maybe in Bournemouth we SHOULD get £6.58 for nights, but I was TOLD £7.84 (the same as it said on my job accepted page on the RM website) on the phone and was quoted £8.11 for Poole.

I agree. if you have nothing constructive or helpful to add to the debate for the poor sods who haven't been paid properly or at all, then don't post at all. I'm sure everyone loves to hear about your "nuclear waste handling" (love that!) salary of £8.11 per hour, but is it appropriate here?john0745 wrote:all angard staffing casuals (within 12 weeks constant employment) are paid the same.. and in the same way...this has been debated for month's on this forum.. so stop with the f***ing windups m8,,, the guy's on here that havent been paid or havent been paid the correct money thats due to them dont need this kinda s**t.... As I said earlier dont shoot the messenger. The pay rates for Christmas casuals do vary between region/mail centre particularly the premium times (nights, Sundays).

Re: am i unique here ?????
This forum was set up for Angard employees. Thank you Postman for doing so.
This forum allows people to post about ALL issues that affect them.
Because a certain thread appears to highlight other issues other than "only paid 1p", "no security checks", "bloody ETA1 forms". Some people seem to think that teddies should be thrown out of prams because we are not talking about "their" issue.
Well sorry there ARE other things that need addressing. Pay differential for night shifts is very important to me as I have lost £££'s (gone from £7.76 to £6.58).
Also there is the issue of Agency Working Changes and the rights that should/ might be given to long standing Casuals.
John I feel your pain but don't complain if we start talking about other issues on an open forum.

Did all casuals handle "Nuclear Waste" last year then(?) as I thought the night rates for Xmas 2010 varied from £7.76 to £8.01 nationwide. Maybe others know different. Everyone should get £8.11 IMO
