Hi Tamhas. I too worked at Dorset Mail Centre in Poole (19 days on nights 5 Dec - 24 Dec)
I found this forum a few days before my finish date which highlighted the disputes around the country, disputes with pay rates and ammounts and none payment of wages! On the morning that my contract finished (24 Dec) I had been paid up to this time the £350 voucher and have received NO payslips to date.
Someone had said that Reed Agency In Poole were helpful to them when they phoned them. I'm not sure in what way? Reed agency phone numbers had appeared on the forum. I assumed along that with the email addy "reedglobal" and that Reed have been "handling" things that I would pay them a visit today. I was abruptly told that Reed having NOTHING to do with Angard Payroll and it was nothing to do with them.
I have received NO payslip again and checked my bank balance to see a credit of £39.55 which I couldn't work out.
When I got home I phoned Angard 0845 460 7487 and got an answer for the VERY first time. A politeful young lady Stephanie took the call who informed me she was a temporary working for Angard.
The £39.55 was paid by them for the Friday 23 Dec. Their calculation is 7.5 hours x
£6.58 = £49.35 - deductions.
I disputed the pay rate and the ammount of deductions and gave her all my hours worked and what I thought my Gross Pay should be for each period of work up to the Friday 10pm cut off and based on Royal Mail rates for shift allowance and Sunday Premium that I applied for on My Royal Mail application page.
She brought up that page and confirmed what I was saying.
Angard's Mon - Sat hourly rate of £6.58 has no shift allowance.
Last year (Mon - Sat)it was BASIC RATE £6.249 x Paid Hours 7hr 20min (7.333) + Shift Allowance £1.76 x 6hours for each day (10pm -6am)
For Sunday it was BASIC RATE £6.249 x 7.333 + £1.76 x 6 hours shift allowance + £2.098 x 7.333 Premium (£15.39)
All my hours worked have been passed onto the Payroll team. I have been assured an answer by phone no later than Weds 11 Dec.
I pointed out that part of Angards contract clause
4.2 "You will be paid weekly in arrears on the basis of the number of hours worked in the preceding week directly into your nominated bank account"
Without a payslip how would you know they are fiddling the hour rate.
As far as I'm concerned I have fullfilled my part of the contact and they should fulfill theirs based on the Royal Mail rates.
I would say they owe me another £660.
How on earth are they still paying people £0.01 !
What on earth is wrong with their Payroll system and how much longer do they need to sort things out, total shambles
tamhas, Keep in touch then we don't feel we are all fighting individual battles with them. DON'T ACCEPT their £6.58 all in hourly rate
