well that is what an election is for...you have a choice..

i have never yet been so ill as to not be able to work..only twice in my working carrer have i felt the need to go sick..and that was for one day at a time.

so what money should i donate ..stupid comment by a stupid person

yet in my small office we have the regular's on sick parade .

i bet you they will still vote for me though,even i am better than what we have now.

even the royal mail manager has had a mini work time learner to promote the current rep ..says it all

AS A SIDE NOTE I APPLIED TO REJOIN THE UNION ON DECEMBER 6TH AND EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT MY WORK MATES HAVE NOMINATED ME FOR UNION REP..I FIND IT SUSPICIOUS THEN THAT THE LAST TWO TIMES I JOINED IT TOOK LESS THAN A WEEK TO GET THERE HANDS ON MY DEWS..CURRENTLY MY APPLICATION IS STILL PENDING WITH THE ELECTION ON THE 26TH'ISH......VERY ODD

Some people are fortunate to never be ill.
Some people are not so robust and are more susceptible to illnesses.
Some people have underlying health problems.
Children tend to spread a lot of illnesses.
Being stressed/overtired can compromise the immune system, as can being excessively fit.

Different strokes....

have you all lead sheltered lives.

in a previous employment i had sick pay brought in.at the time if you were sick and the employer thought it was real and not bullshit,you would get paid.i got it made official and within 6 months sickness went through the roof.until it was scrapped again.royal mail is exactly the same on a grander scale.

girls would come to the factory and stay for 6 months before getting knocked up ,getting max maternity leave and never come back.over and over.

it should be a benifit not a right.We all know its just extra holiday for some

and yes fishtank,i do have huge opinions but they are mine and i will not change them for you or anyone else,and my work mates know exactly what they are getting.someone honest and /but who will do the best for them,and not himself

i know its very complicated but try to follow,the members want me,they have to nominate me.i dont just noominate myself.

oh and if there is an election then there is always more than one candidate.so why would you eat your ballot paper...lmfao

back to your original problem.you are owed holiday but they wont let you take any ,so you feel you want to go sick and get payed for it.

well that is not the answer .file a grievance and you should get your holiday quick smart..you are legally entitled to a minimum 28 days holiday per year.(inclusive of bank holidays)if you have not been allowed to take this they are breaking the law..file a grievance and take it up ,up up,until you get it(most likely)or until a tribuneral./(never get that far,if it does you will get aliitle extra as they wont have a leg to stand on)

I also think that given the views you hold it would be completely inappropriate for you to become a CWU rep.
