Very windy today, so bad that my york blew over in the yard but it did calm down but having to dodge bins and recycling made for some interesting moments.
Only one house missed because of the weather though

If trees are getting blown down, don't you think it is time to put your own H&S first and return to the DO?
Did you have a severe weather brief in the morning?

It did cross my mind believe me

I was returning to the office anyway to pick up my HCT. Amazingly a little later on it suddenly changed with the wind and rain stopping and the sun came out.

4 and a half hours from leaving the office to getting back. Why can't it be like that a bit more often? Very windy.

It was so windy cycling to my start point my hat flew off my head and lods of cars went over it

I managed to retrieve it, later on my pannier got caught on a wall and ripped in half

Then after getting my LWT almost coming to the end of first bag the wind caught the trolley it fell over and the bag flew off into a muddy puddle

So your cycle hat (helmet I hope) has the special ability to un-do itself while you are cycling, yet your walk has a LWT aswell? Is this walk some sort of hybrid monster, pre- and post- park and loop revision?

Used a bike - trolley - van all on one walk.

I remember watching that Panorama programme (the one with the former marine) and he cycled to his box and got his trolly out and used it from there so I would assume it's something similar.

Yes my mistake forgot to take cycle helmet in, so just wore a hat, which though I put through loop it came undone, most days I use cycle helmet,too and from del office to point of del.

Also I use Cycle and LWT hoping to just use LWT in future, but my delivery is mile and half away from Do , Yes I guess it will be P&Loop eventually .

i cannot believe what I am reading,cyclists not wearing hi viz or helmets. what do you think would happen if you had an accident, not only injuries that Royal mail would wash their hands off but probable and rightful dismissal. Some one in that D.O. should be contacting either the Area Rep or DSM with a view to getting the DOM on a charge of neglect of his H&S responsibilites.

It took years to establish decent H&S agreements they should not be treated in this manner.
