I thought accidents were reported to hse if a RIDDOR or if the accident prevents employee from doing their job for more than 3 days?
Rep will get same copy of erica report as I did, with the whole middle bit missing.
Ill get onto manager to print another on return to work.
Ive actually only took 2 days off so far fri and sat. But I def wont be back 2moro as im not sleeping well.
My manager kept saying during the erica report, come in on tuesday and we will keep you indoors on light duties. Even said 'see you tuesday' as I left the office.
They dont understand that Im unfit for work cause im just not sleeping or gettin very broken uncomfortable sleep.
I do need that report.
I cant believe I was so stupid to sign it. It was just a farce. He just ticked yes for everything and it was done in main managers office in front of all the managers. Id have prefered it a little more private. Then cause all managers were there
watchin and listening I felt under pressure to sign it. I didnt even know what I was signing cause it didnt print all. Thats a learning curve for me cause ill never do that again.

Tired,you've hurt yourself,it's an AOD and the manager is at fault,if they wanted to be really really picky they could question the bag weighing thing but a good rep should get you out of that.
If you're in pain and can't work then don't work.
Get the accident registered with the DWP (http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... 28&t=32081" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; )and get a sick note,and getting a stage although unfair is not the end of the world.

First things first, the Environmental Health Office is the authority responsible for enforcing health, safety and welfare in your workplace, not the Health and Safety Executive.

The incident is already a RIDDOR, because you have already been off work for more than three consecutive days, (at least Saturday, Sunday and Monday; Friday would make it four days if the Accident occurred on Thursday).

The accident is therefore now a legally reportable incident and the Area Safety Representative will be informed and will investigate it.

If you feel you are still not well enough to work, make an appointment to see your GP on Tuesday and do not go into work, (light duties or otherwise), unless your GP recommends that you are well enough to do so. The fit note they provide you with should place the responsibility on your Employer to find work which you are able to perform without delaying the healing process.

Now that your ASR is involved you can be sure that your incident will be investigated properly and the true root causes found. The conclusions in the Managers Accident Report are that only of your Manager, not of a fully trained Health and Safety Representative.

(Just because you have not attended WTLL sessions please don't rule out common sense, based on the information you have given, [as bitchface rightly said], it would have been sensible to have reduced the weight prior to lifting the sack. That doesn't apportion the blame directly to you, but it was a contributing factor.)
