Re: royal mail fingerprinting still ?
Your message is that if anyone tries to take RM to court, especially on H&S issues, they will be so harassed during the process that the experience will turn them insane. In other words, you are a warning to others of what will happen to them if they try to fight 'the system'.adamant wrote: yes thats where the discredit comes into play you can think i am mad all you want, for your own sanity i hope you think that... what do you think RM does before a persuing employee takes them to court ?
What a load of rubbish.
I have taken on management and the authoritarian wing of the Union and I am still in post. They haven't even been able to remove me from my section even though they have been trying to get me out since March last year. I served my full term as Unit Rep before stepping down and I will be standing for Area Rep in the Spring.
Nobody has anything to fear from the so-called 'system'. The truth is that most managers are scared of their staff and they need this 'system' myth to help them keep control. I have only received threats from some bullies in my Unit but no physical violence yet, unless ripping some buttons off my shirt and a few shoves in the back counts. One favourite has made a point of showing me my home on streetmap, making it clear he knows where I live. I just email people I trust after every incident so that if something does happen, there is a record of the threat.
I am not a football hooligan, my hobbies include playing the piano and gardening. If someone like me can withstand the pressure from 'the system', you all can.
Adamant, maybe you should make a new poll, "Who's still afraid of the big bad wolf?"

Re: royal mail fingerprinting still ?
hey my circumstances were a little bit different, and not trivial like yours would have been !
It started over an overwight bag H&S thats for sure. Then after that i informed the company I knew they were operating on an illegal contract, remember i was not on the 'nick nice' side of the contact, with a bogus secrecy act and nice pension. When I told them that 'nick nasty' came into play. They then threw the CMA conduct code at me at the time, although I was never suposed to find out what this was, i did at top executive level. The rest that followed was life changing to say the least, the company really freaked me out with what I got involved in. I knew the company that well i devised a code of pratice for them that management could not beat ! I told senior management that I bet I knew his own company better than he did, i proved this to management with my exstensive dealings with them. Futhermore if your starting as a union rep you may as well be a manager, union are on the same contract my union guy got paid out 10k not to help he was excited he was in on the illegal side of the contract after i introduced it to him. I then went above his head to CWU HQ they did not help either, after that it was game over for the company. Who do you think shut Consignia down ?

Re: royal mail fingerprinting still ?
As far as I remember john roberts was the chief executive at the time. acording to him in the houses of commons march 02 "i for one quite happen to like the name consignia" so why was it changed ? it was bill hayes from the union that boycotted the name actually so get the facts right. The company will say it was down to branding and that the name did not work even though they rarely used the name. Fact is thats not true the consignia company was boycotted becuse it was an illegal set up, period once i informed the "bone headed unions" it was game over for consigniaDGP1 wrote:Crozier did because it had served it's purpose (very badly as it happens) or do you really think that you're some sort of super powerful person who can defeat even the biggest of conspiracies with just the simple sword of truth.....................and we all know what happened to the last person who used thatWho do you think shut Consignia down ?

Re: royal mail fingerprinting still ?
The brand was changed to Consignia as part of the plan to "globalize" the company.
Post Office was considered too generic and Royal Mail would have run into problems in countries that had their own monarchy.
Of course the globalisation fell on it's arse when we started paying £200million for European companies that were worthless and other than GLS the company decided that conquering the world was maybe a bad idea.
The name never took off here so it was pulled.
That's the real reason,no conspiracy although i'm sure adam will say otherwise.

If you want to believe what the BS the government tells you thats fine, even though you had no experiences with consignia like i did at the time. Fact is management wanted to keep the name so why did the union boycott it ?fishtank wrote:The brand was changed to Consignia as part of the plan to "globalize" the company.

also why isnt the company conduct code available something to hide maybe ?
I plan to put in a request for the old conduct code under the freedom of information act. then even the most bone headed of people will see what I am on about.

Re: royal mail fingerprinting still ?
There is no specific Consignia conduct code.adamant wrote: also why isnt the company conduct code available something to hide maybe ?
The conduct code we use today is more or less the same one we've been using since before Consignia was born and died...barring a few updates.
Now at the time you may have been given one with Consignia at the top of it but that isn't really a conspiracy is it?
You have yet to say what was so frightening about this document you decided to destroy and no one else has ever seen despite the fact that a lot of us on here pre-date Consignia by a good few years, were actually reps during this time but never saw the offending item.

Re: royal mail fingerprinting still ?
It was a royal mail conduct code that they were using under the consignia contract. It did not mention consignia in it at all, it was core government. I do not know how long it was in use, only that it was at the time of consignia. The union saw the decoded CMA version i posted it to them after 12 hours reading 'though the lines' I found something very special indeed. Highlight a few words here n there and you get a total different conduct code CMA version. If I ever get my hands on a copy I can reveal all. Thats probably why you wont find this anywhere. Why dont you see if you or anyone you know has a copy and I will shock you !fishtank wrote:There is no specific Consignia conduct code.adamant wrote: also why isnt the company conduct code available something to hide maybe ?

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
