I guess it depends on the area you cover; saying that mine is a well populated suburban area just outside a big city, and still a very light week for me apart from Wednesday which was a back breaker due to thick magazines.

In my office (other than the firms and shops which you expect to be down) there are still a few finishing early. They are mostly using their own cars but saying that i saw one guy finish at 11.15am today and he uses a bike. :shock:

It simply must be that these duties are running to 3 hrs or less. Its a bit fustrating when your slogging 4-5 hours but its always been the same within Royal Mail. :roll:

The dogs were all a bit overexcited today.
Is it a full moon or something, or was it perhaps the aftershave I got for xmas?

Busy day with loads of catalogues coming out. Xmas is just a distant memory. :shock: Had woman catch me on the corner of a road as I was coming back down. I'd carded a recorded delivery item for her earlier on. She claimed she had been hoovering but I could hear her talking to the hubby. :mad Why do they do that? Wet all day. Happy new year everybody. :wave

BT and Barclays for me too. Packets coming out of my ears. Very heavy for a Saturday. I started the day with a cough, now its turned into a full blown man flu. Filled up with paracetomol, so no drinky's for me later. Early night and no doubt the next year as miserable as the last. I'm going to try and get myself a better job. Maybe picking up dog sh1t with my bare hands could do.

Very light for a Saturday, managed to finish 15 minutes before my time which is unheard of on this duty.............maybe I shouldn't have asked for help on delivery :nervous :chuckle :chuckle

Woke up at 5.05.
Panicked because I thought I was late for work.
Was halfway down the stairs before I realised it was Sunday.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

It's only worse if you fall asleep in the afternoon.........and wake up at 5pm and think it's 5am :shock: that horrible shock you get lasts with you for longer than realising that it's afternoon and not morning :nervous

It was so windy cycling to my start point my hat flew off my head and lods of cars went over it :d'oh!

I managed to retrieve it, later on my pannier got caught on a wall and ripped in half :roll:

Then after getting my LWT almost coming to the end of first bag the wind caught the trolley it fell over and the bag flew off into a muddy puddle :pray

One of the most gusty windy days i can remember. :shock:

I thought it was getting worse as my bike kept blowing over. Then i was halfway up a road and i heard ripping noise and then thud and a tree had fallen down right next to my bike, which had also blown over.

A hour later the skies opened and i had to take cover in a open porch for 15 mins, still got soaked though. :Boo hoo!

Bloody nightmare :shock:

If trees are getting blown down, don't you think it is time to put your own H&S first and return to the DO?
Did you have a severe weather brief in the morning?
