just going on with this thread
the planners have stated that as the rural jobs have an average 350 delivery points and have a delivery span of 3 hours 15,
they will be putting the lwt parcels on the end of one of the duties and collections at the end of the other duties
comments people and i understand about the 4pm delivey finish time for rurals
this will be the end of the afternoon scedules
i was under the impression that the deliveries, be it town or rural would be full time duties.
in this sinario the planners are making the rural deliveries part time and bulking them out with collections

Can't you go for a longer delivery span on the rurals instead of doing the other work? 3:15 seems very short for a rural.

the problem is the geographic location of the rural locations, they will just argue unproductive due to excess travelling distance say to another rural area to make up the duty content
