Hi all I just went online to find out how to cash in my colleague shares - I have now stopped laughing - you can too.
This put me in mind of when I left Croziers Private Bank, and RM wrote to me telling me I could either move £3100 out of my pension, or take £660 in cash, so I naturally decided to have the £3100. I then forgot about doing anything for a bit - after all I had been told that I had until 10/01/2010 to shift the money. I then got a letter in December saying they were sending me a cheque for the lesser amount. When I asked it was because they had made a typo and it should have been 01/01/2010 on the letter. After much pissing about they finally agreed to keep their original guarantee, and I was able to get the full amount.
I wonder has anyone else run into this?
Its that the cynic in me says this possibly would be a great way of saving the company money (or giving more to the directors) at the workers expense.
And what are the shares worth? STOP LAUGHING.

No, but the pension service centre are pretty crap at the best of times.damienb wrote:RM wrote to me telling me I could either move £3100 out of my pension, or take £660 in cash, so I naturally decided to have the £3100. If they were going to do that deliberately, I would have thought they'd have reduced the time limit by more than 9 days. Its that the cynic in me says this possibly would be a great way of saving the company money (or giving more to the directors) at the workers expense.
And the moral of the story is, don't leave things until the last minute! Happy new year!
