Arnie,you have shot yourself in the foot by some of your posts,doing bits and bobs here and there is not a true reflection of how we work or how we are treated in the business.
I'm sure you've read through some of the posts on here and you have to understand the ill feeling towards Management and the Business as a whole,you yourself have been slagging off Al and Ad and are worried about your position being on here as well.
I'm interested in what you've got to say but perhaps in your field,as non ops Management don't have a clue about the day to day life as a Postie.

managers - as do some others.

But perhaps you provoke these reactions by saying our jobs could be done by 'untrained monkeys'.
That is the attitude that has been taken by senior managers for a few years now.
They brought in people on part time and temporary contracts, and casuals, and agency staff
with little or no training and told us that they were as productive as the trained staff.
Now they tell us we are 40% less productive than the competitors - so who's fault is that?

well i think i have hit a raw nerve here with this topic. ofcouse we need to change but as most of you have said it needs to be a fair playing field why should we have go 2 miles down a country lane with one piece of rebate oh sorry mailsort while competition just pass it on to us after collecting an artic full from one firm.. postcomm need to wake up and realise that they are destroying the best postal service in the world and all under the guise of fair competition and they are failing right from the start cos its not fair. make the other companies have a universal licence to go to every household once a day they will soon fu*k off back to germany when they have to go down country lanes with junk mail, cos they wont make any money either..

Mate thanks for the comment but i have my opinions and i never will apologise for them unless im proved wrong.. I believe in this case im not wrong!!
