A SPECIAL present will be under the Christmas tree for members of a family thanks to postmen at the Lynn sorting office.
Andrew and Katherine Lewis had put together a calendar featuring pictures of their children six-year-old Katie and one-year-old Aidan for some of their relatives.
Unfortunately the parcel containing the three calendars split and only two arrived at their home in Lexham Road, Lynn.
Luckily the missing calendar was found by staff at Lynn sorting office and following an appeal in last week’s Lynn News, it has been returned to the Lewis family.
Mrs Lewis picked up the calendar from the sorting office on Friday last week after receiving a flood of phone calls from friends and family – including some of the intended recipients of the presents.
She said: “It is lovely we have got them back. It is a nice surprise.
“It is great that they have found it.
“They are Christmas presents. My nan and grandad are due to have a calendar and they phoned me on Friday morning. It wasn’t much of a surprise and they haven’t seen all of the pictures so it’s not a problem.”
Acting assistant manager Lee Nicol put out the appeal last week and was delighted to return the calendar to the rightful owners.
He said: “I am delighted that we have returned the calendar to the person.”
