Fine, I suppose, finished on time. Got a nice box of chocolates from an old woman that I regularly have a little chat too which was nice... she gave me a drink of orange squash during the summer as well... good to know there are nice people on that walk (that I usually do only 2 or 3 days a week), albeit few and far between!

I got my first tips today !!!! four cans of larger and £5, Well chuffed

Anyway came in seen 6 sacks of packets lying at my frame, told the DOM that I am cutting off at 3.30 pm, and asked if they wanted me to leave the top row of the frame. The reply was do two sacks, forget the other four, and bag up and get yourself out the office and do the full duty as clearing the mail has priority over packets. This was fine be me, I finished dead on 3.30 including break.

Packets again but a few less than yesterday, still way too heavy to be able to complete the delivery within my time so..............cut offs it was.

But I can only hope the MC is finally cleared of packets because they're sending all the MS3 down (4 yorks this morning), still makes no difference to us..............we leave MS3 on Saturday

Looks like the Xmas mayhem is over for now, light for a normal Friday, yet alone one in Xmas build up. In theory, it was a busy "outward mail" day too! Still went over, but by less than 30 minutes, doing the whole round (finished later than that having left a row on numerous days over the last few weeks).

Light as anything our end, mail-wise. Packets reasonably bad but not at Wednesday/Thursday levels. Not sure if that's the eye of the storm or the end of it. Not bothered either way. x hours for y work - when the value of y exceeds that of x, they've got a problem.

Customer handed me a bunch of 2nd class letters today, all obviously cards. I told him that they wouldn't get there before Christmas and he said "Why not?...They're all local!".. What planet are these people on!?

Packets were LESS than I usually get in a day all year round. Still plenty of xmas cards coming through. Don't think we will clear them tomorrow. Got absolutely soaked today.
Just in case I don't get back on this holiday, Merry Christmas everybody.

Was the "customer" handing this mail to you on his doorstep or outside a box??(if not a normal collection) If it was the former then you should have told him you can not accept them, for obvious reasons. I never take mail off customers, it will only backfire on you one day, not worth it !!
