waiting for ID badge.

Post by murraj »

I got a contract through as a casual post at Margate on the 17th Nov. I was told to wait for an ID badge to come through the post and then to call for shifts. I'm still waiting for the badge. I have rung and emailed and rung and emailed etc etc. I don't know what to do now. I'm desperate to start working. Would it be a stupid idea to turn up at Margate RM and ask them if they could help or at least put pressure on Angard to send me a badge?

I think the period for casuals has finished, tbh I think they gave everybody the same story but you where just kept on a list in case they needed you.

I never got an ID badge. I just turned up to the first shift. No one has asked me for any kind of ID.

Never had ID, ive asked about it gave them more passport photos etc still haven't got one. So it's their problem for not issuing one, not that i ever get asked for ID anyways.

but I wasn't employed as a christmas casual. I am employed as a casual postie on a ongoing rolling contract, so that could start anytime surely? I also havn't been given a start date so I have no specific shift to turn up for.

Ah a "proper" casual or "Normal" :left: as someone has put on our separate signing in sheet (god its like religious factions not a bloody workforce). Anyway your OP seemed to suggest that you joined Angard and are waiting for work?

This is how this thread will continue after Christmas as it was before Angard don't ring you for work and if they do they send you on "assignments" that are to short/long distance and when you get there no one knows you were coming I'm only working at the MC at Christmas as I asked them directly if they had any work for me (obviously)

Anyone seen "Logans Run" ? I feel my palm glowing I have nearly reached my 12 weeks with Angard.
