Cardiff casuals questions.

Post by Simon-Jacobs »

1) Who decided it was a good idea to buy out some random and obviously failing compnay?
2) What was their reason to buy it out?
3) Have they been fired?
3a) If not, why?

This is my second year as a casual, I worked at the Penarth road branch last year, absolutly no problems, I got a nicer Hi-vis jacket and the badge was nicer too.
It's my 3rd week, I've not gotten a penny, not even the £350 "bribe",
I've filled out the form,
I've been rung by angard to tell them my details over the phone,
I've texted two different people my details.

This is in breach if part 4 sections 1 & 2 of the "Angard staffing contract", They've not payed me an hourly rate and it hasn't gone into my "nominated" bank account, heres a link below.

Can anyone give any advice, I've got just enough left over from JSA to get me through next week (Which may be out last week here anyway), If not payed, should I make this week my last instead?

Royal Mail are reporting everyone as paid up to date.
http://www.recruiter.co.uk/royal-mail-r ... 88.article" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Following problems with the payment of Christmas temporary staff, the Royal Mail has told Recruiter that all workers have now been paid the full amount they are owed.

A statement issued to Recruiter from the Royal Mail says: “The small minority of our temporary workers who were regrettably not paid on time or by the correct amount last week were paid yesterday [Tuesday, 20 December].”
Maybe you should contact the Recruiter and tell them they've been fed a load of shite. :whistle
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Also Angard is not a company Royal Mail bought,it's a company they own,see the stickies in this forum.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
