23rd December Night shift.........anyone going in?

We will finish 6am on Christamas eve! The reason I ask is that casuals are decreasing in number by the day. I just wonder if it will be really quiet or maybe the same amount of work because there are fewer workers?

Does anyone know if having a day off without letting them know, penalise you for more than that days work? Does it ruin any holiday/bonus day if we do? Which I am not sure we get anyway

It doesn't penalise you but it's pretty rubbish way to go about it. I'm sure plenty of people would be grateful for the work. I did the 23rd nightshift last year it wasn't hectic n there was a nice atmosphere. Also if there are more friday payday problems you've severed your chances to get any answers from your managers if you're not in. If you're not going in, tell somebody. So they then have an idea of what they've got to work with.

they dont give a f**k if you miss a day or even a few. they just mark you as absent and send the sheet off so you want get paid.

im working this shift, and i intend to go,
there have been suggestions that there may be chocolates ;)
im imagining the atmosphere might be like that of a sat night :D there fun !
