what happens to letters to santa?

[TeeferTiger]

I had a woman come in complaning that we'd surcharged 2 letters from Santa that SHE'D sent to her grandsons. She'd phoned customer services who'd said it was nothing to do with them and it was down to the D.O. Well, it wasn't down to us, Revenue Protection were the ones who had surcharged them, sent them to us in the yellow pouch and they had been accounted for on the spread sheet. Therefore I had to account for their whereabouts. I ended up having to lie on the spread sheet saying they were missorted so that they came off our balance without having to have money for them because she was kicking up a right fuss (for HER error!).
