As i said. If i wasn't paid by today I'd raise it with management and wouldn't work until it'd been resolved. I raised the issue and to be fair the manager was apologetic, but couldn't give a definite answer. Therefore I'm sitting in the canteen refusing to work. The only reason I'm here and not home is I've been told I'd be paid by Tuesday. So, I'll check my bank just after midnight and if the correct funds are there, I'll return to work. If not, I'm off home! Unfortunately I'm alone as colleagues don't want to risk the sack.

People have no f***ing back bone. What will it take people to take action and stand up for their rights. Willingly letting people defecate on them. At my place we downed tools and a large proportion of peoples arseholes were twitching to get back on the shop floor straight away. Like they were scared of being docked hours but will gladly work for 3. Would be funny if it wasn't so tragic.

Hope you dont mind me asking but how long have you worked for them and not got paid ( or how much do you think they owe you ) Only asking as it might be a good idea when you go to the JS to be armed with how much your owed and also how much your out of pocket getting to work, or just hope that whoever you deal with has been watching the news.

When was your contract due to end? That may be a moot point with the Jobcentre. As there was work available for you, albeit unpaid, then you put yourself out of work. Perhaps Angard are in Cahoots with the Government; get people to resign and then they won't be entitled to JSA. :dcfo

RM don't perhaps want you contaminating the others, so they send you home. My guess is that some emails went round from above to shift managers to do this.

I started on Thursday 8th December, so really I'm only one or two days out of pocket, but no pay is no pay regardless of how long you've worked. Plus i wanted to make sure i got my money before getting into the situation that others have by going weeks without payment. Come Friday I'll be owed a full weeks wages from last week.

Nice work! You must have pretty decent managers. All I got was questions, and told that I was wasting my time etc. Did you have the support of other Angard staff?

Very possible. I think if others had joined me, the manager wouldn't have sent us all home, instead he probably would have listened. Alas, as it was just me, losing one man didn't seem too much bother for him.

Although I'm now not sure where we stand. Is he expecting me to go back tonight? He left it really open-ended.
