It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

No info, but that's not on. It's not the managers fault. We all haven't been paid, and yes it's frustrating, but that's no call for violence!

Ditto. That's totally unneccesary. I hope he's not hurt.

What ? - could we try English and also just a personal thing what has being on benefits got to do with anything. :no no :no no :no no A lot of the casuals are doing it as a second job, or to get extra money in. I don't mind people posting sensational things, but at least it should be well reasoned and make sense.

When I spoke to REED last week the person told me a RM shift manager had been punched in the face by an Angard worker.

The way some RM managers speak to people this is not suprising, no pay, spoken to badly maybe, said to the wrong person who wont have a job anyway after xmas so doesnt care.

I don't condone it though.

We are discussing this assault on a manager, not the rights or wrongs of people working as Christmas casuals. It's my only job at present but I don't begrudge those who are trying to earn a little more with a second job.

If I had had a representative from Angard to talk to I would have been tempted to give him a few left and right's.

Can't say I'm surprised. Bit unfair on the manager, but what do you expect. These people are effectively being forced to work for free, and if slaves are tret badly they revolt. Even in the olden days, slaves were housed and fed.

Don't blame the casual slave, blame his master a.k.a. Angard. a.k.a. RM.

I'm only human, sometimes anger gets the better of us.

If you kick a dog, you shouldn't be surprised when it bites back. Sometimes it doesn't bite the person who kicked it, but bites somebody else.
