Sorting office revamp ends Christmas post chaos?

AFTER last year's Christmas chaos, Royal Mail's Stratford-upon-Avon delivery office has revamped the way it deals with the influx of post over the festive period.

The Stratford site is currently the top performing office in Coventry and Warwickshire and earlier this year, new delivery office manager, Matt Morley, was installed.

Last Christmas, poor management of the increase in large packages created a backlog of 90,000 items not dealt with until the middle of January, infuriating residents in postcodes CV36 and CV37.

Unlike last year, no extra staff have had to have been brought in, but extra driver shifts specifically delivering packages—and no letters—have been assigned, and processing through the night has changed.

Very good news for the Stratford area...But remember the weather was bad last year and created back logs in many places around the country.

This year the weather has been a doddle in the east anglia area.

The shops that a postie sees everyday are not so busy as last year and is also stated by some shop workers.

There must be a lot of shop workers that are worried about their prospects after chrismas.
