This is the code Angard have used when they do not know what to use as they have not received or processed your P45/P46. Fundamentally it is an Angard emergency tax indicator. Think there is a few threads about this tax code.

Tax code '0T' means your allowances have been used up or reduced to nil and your income is taxed at the relevant tax rates

I sent my P45 to Angard end of November, once received how long would it normally take for someone to be put on the correct code?

I imagine I'm OT 1 too considering my pay of £117. I can't confirm it or contact the tax office about it though as the lack of a payslip provides me with no PAYE reference.

0T code means that you get ZERO personal allowances and is applied if you did not complete part 1 of the P46 form.
The 1 is an indicator that this is applied each week or month as a single pay period (doesnt take into account earlier earnings).
A proper emrgency tax code should be 747L 1 which means that the week/month is taxed as a single payment after taking off your personal allowance which is £143.75 per week. It is operated when previous earnings are not known....you have ticked box B on the P46.
If this is your first ever job (box A) i feel sorry for you but you code should be 747L straight.
BR is used when you have ticked box C stating you have another job or pension income.
My guess is most people didn't get a P46 from anguard or even told you needed one if you had no P45.
Phone HMRC to check your code. To sort it you will need your NI number and previous pay details. Anguard pay ref 475/XA59334.

But the question is how quickly can the tax code be changed? does it take weeks, months? or once you ring hmrc it gets changed then?

They will change the code there and then while you are on the phone. It will probably take a week for the notification to get to Anguard but you get a copy anyway so the question is then will anguard take any notice of it. If they dont you can possibly get a refurnd from HMRC by filling in a P50 once you have stopped working for Anguard assuming that you can get a P45 from them.
