Now some of us lucky ones have our 350 if we go in next week the pick up pay will be around 40 quid! Is it worth it? And if you don't go in will angard still have to give us our week in hand money?

I haven't had any money yet. I'll go in on Monday night, and if I haven't been payed by then I'm not working unless the managers find a quick guaranteed solution. It's the week before Christmas, I don't want to have to spend the festive period fighting just to get what's owed to me.

If you've been over paid, or paid in advance for next week, I wouldn't go in. That may be unfair on Royal Mail and Angard, but they would turn the tables on you without a second thought!

If you don't go in angard certainly won't pay you. I left with proper notice given and with an SSP form sent to them and an offer to complete any self-certification form that they sent me for sickness absence. Since then I have heard nothing in 17 days nor been paid the week they owe me nor the SSP nor holiday pay. I shall consult my solicitor after christmas with a view to going to the County Court in order to get not only the money but also my costs back in terms of overdraft fees and interest, etc etc. If you don't go in they will probably take the view that you have absented yourself and that they can therefore dismiss you and then you will have to go to court or an ET and show that they were in breach of contract first and that you are therefore entitled to the money. It could be months before you get anything though I'm sure that you'd win in the end as they are obviously totally out of order with lack of contracts issued or even Statement of Particulars etc. Somewhere on the ET website I've seen a flowchart of the process which suggests that it could be 6 months or more to go through the ET procedure.

How much does your solicitor cost? Whats your cost for fast track small claims court?

The ET1 costs nothing to you. But it will cost RM even to defend the claim if it does not even proceed to an ET
