Arrived at work today,m and was told and promised that no the RM are dealing with the pay and as a result we would all recieve a voucher each to cash at a post offc, for the money we are owed.

Come 7.30 pm tonight as as we are off loading the last of the lorries to be sorted for onward, we are called in to a huddle and informed that yet another promise has been broken and that we aren't going to get paid. Our line manager was so upset, and give him his due he offered to take the money form his own bank and give it to anyone who needed it. He was visible upset by the whole thing. I shook the guys hand before taking off the hi vi, and picking up my belongings and leaving.

I feel absolutely gutted that I have had to do this, and very very let down.

I am no longer willing to be lied to and cheated on, and have withdrawn my labour until I'm paid. Should I find that I have been paid fully what I'm owed on Monday morning I will return. But I'm not expecting too.

As for next year, if angard are in charge forget it.
thats not so good! .. what site are you working at? .. i want a manger like that .. although i am getting paid .. its nice to see that someone actually cares enough to offer!

I'm working or more correctly giving my time for free at the Norwich Out House, with Justin... The whole team are excellent - almost like a family - normally and previously its been a great atmosphere and fun to work.

I'm not trying to rub it in or anything I just thought I should contribute my two cents here because it's somewhat obvious I would say that a forum like this makes the situation appear much worse than it is. The selection of posters on the forum will be heavily skewed towards those with pay problems, because they will come on here looking for answers, and thus they will be over represented giving the impression nobody or less people are being paid properly than actually are.

Not that I am trying to say the problems you guys have had are not completely unacceptable but in the interest of fairness and a balanced discussion I felt the need to contribute that.

and I wasn't trying to wind you up either. I have finally had enough of Angard and all the empty promises, and lies. I have voted with my feet, like I said in my post, I am really upset at having to do so, as I really enjoy working within the RM, and the Norwich Out House.

At Mount Pleasant in London approx 500 of us didnt get paid, so tools were downed as for some they hadn't been paid for 3 weeks, RM flapped like a good saying it wasn't their fault, I certainly made my views know and had a right good old slanging match, at one point they said if you dont work we will have to escort you off the premisis, so we said go on then, they didn't .We had them by the danglys cos if no work gets done it fecks them right up, they had no choice.
They sorted it out by giving those who hadn't been paid at all the last 2 weeks a letter which has a barcode on it, so when you go to the post office with ID they will give you 350 quid, work sort of started at bout 6 15pm (late shift) some who were partly paid last week got nothing so they walked out

I have only done 4 days this week 3 days last week. If I work next week Ill get about 30 quid in my final pay packet so f*ck it £350 for 7 days work I aint going there next week

RM are extremely embarrassed by thi,s interesting really as they own a share of Angard

RMG are 100% owners of Angard, Reed Global are contracted to run the contract.

We knew that thats why we didnt buy the its not our fault line. I was happy enough as being a former full time Trade Union rep I knew exactly where we stood I tool one of the managers breach of contract and he said rubbish. I asked his credentials for that statement and then told him mine he walked away :chuckle I knew we had them by the danglies

Innit the way they have cheaply dressed this up as nothing to do with them will bite them onthe backside, sad thing is it will give the right wing press the ammo to call to break to post office and royal mail up

Picture the scene, 10PM friday evening, shift changeover time. 200 people called in a room at no notice. All to be told by the shift manager that a) Angard are the problem and are an external agency (promptly corrected by an Angard staffer). b) Then to be told that nobody has been paid (incorrect as some had been paid something that may be similar to 60% of 3 days wages but don't have pay slips so completely in the dark about how it was calculated). c) Then to be told that the RM senior management were working furiously to fix it. However it might be MONDAY before some see anything. CUE CHAOS BORDERING ON A RIOT FOLLOWED BY PEOPLE GETTING UP AND LEAVING THE ROOM ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED.

I have said from the start this bunch are incompetent to the extreme and can't re-arrange the words brewery up and P***

I fear for all the permies at RM as this is the way their jobs are going whether they like it or not. As for the Angard guys, some tried hard and were screwed, the rest are being paid at the rate they deserve.

Where are the CWU ???
