Its about 12 miles one way, so making the trip for nothing seems pointless.
If you're working on Friday, the best idea would be to turn up for your shift even if you haven't been paid and talk to your manager ASAP. Let them know that you're not going to be attending if payment hasn't been received by Monday 8am. The fact you will have given them notice of your probable departure puts you in a much better light than if you just simply do not turn up. It's pretty disrespectful to your manager and colleagues without doing so, as they aren't the ones at fault.
The contract states you must give notice 1 week before you leaving, but any lack of pay within a reasonable time frame puts Angard as the entity that has technically voided the contract so by all means you shouldn't follow the terms until they do so.

Also there is no long term come back, im not expecting a proper job out of this, and I dont want one with Angard.

people actually feel that? I dont, I go to work for one reason only, to be paid, I dont get people who have these warm fuzzy feelings, simply by having a job.

You should have at the very least waited until tomorrow to see if they catch up on your payments, but I understand that some of you can't manage the overheads any longer.
The consensus between the casuals that actually seem capable to talk (I'm sure I've seen quite a few that never seem to open their mouth) at the centre I'm working at is to turn up even in the case we don't get paid tomorrow night. This way we can finally get our manager to actually speak about it instead of fobbing us off by telling us to contact Angard and walk out if things seem hopeless.
I hope the media attention finally have them off their asses and they get round to paying us though to save us the hassle. There are some parents I'm working with who are just desperate to give their kids a good Christmas.
I will see how much money goes into my account tonight, then if it isn't in line with what I should be getting tomorrow will be my last shift. I will work at snails pace and make mistakes every third packet or so. Although this seems to be the standard of most casuals already #justsaying

I think myself and quite a lot of the other casuals I see working are pretty accurate. Except when we get some one from a different area that doesn't keep an eye on the stamps as well and we end up finding a couple dozen tracked packages in the yorks =\

Glad I just referred to them as trolleys out loud.

Britvic you're not on your own, I know a few people from Portbury as well as myself who have walked. Personally I don't see the point in getting up at 4.30am and doing a 12hr day (including traveling) for free. That I and I just can't afford the travel costs! The managers at RM portbury, I think tried to help the ones of us who hadn't been paid, but they were as much help as a chocolate teapot. I was promised emergency payment after emergency payment, but I started on almost 3 weeks ago and I still haven't seen any pay. I am beginning to think I never will! numerous calls and emails to Shamgard have come up with nothing.
Sadly I don't think walking out has caused any real problems, plenty of casual staff left. So what do we do now? Answers on the back of a postcard......

ET1, filed online, with Royal Mail Group as the company you are filing it against. Its free and easy to do.
Our unemployment and the fact that it's Christmas works in Angards favour - they know (or think) we'll continue to work without payment out of desperation and hope of money. Well done for taking a stand, it'd be great if all Angard "staff" could do the same. Angard shouldn't be foolish enough to think one person walking out won't make a difference - one tree can make a thousand matches, but one match can burn a thousand trees.
