Re: FRIDAY 16th Pay
Are we seriously expected to believe that "the cheque is in the post?" That is amazing. I started work on the 29th of Nov, still not been paid anything, have just been lied to ever since last friday - "you'll be paid this evening / by tomorrow morning / of course, the payment will be through by monday morning / monday afternoon / tuesday afternoon? So we call angard late on tuesday, and somehow get through with ease. You'll be paid 60% by the end of today... So we call on wednesday and get told that it might take 48 hours to process. So we call late on thursday and are told that the payment request is there, they're not sure why i haven't been paid. Deffo by tomorrow. So i wake up this morning, and have i received my first weeks pay? Have i received my 2nd weeks pay? I haven't been to work since tuesday this week - i just gave up!
I'm in Maidstone, by the way.

Re: FRIDAY 16th Pay
If I recall the briefing we received in Cambridge last night, the "cheque" payments were by some form of barcode device which you take to a Post office and they can pay cash up to £350 on it. Cheques weren't mentioned. Not sure if this is a local arrangement or not though.Hedgehog573 wrote:Are we seriously expected to believe that "the cheque is in the post?" That is amazing. Re: FRIDAY 16th Pay
Whilst I have been paid correctly for last week, Angard still owe me for my first week (23rd November - 25th November). Each time I manage to contact them, I have been assured that "it will be in your bank by the end of the day", but each time, surprise, surprise, "oh no it hasn't!"
Incidentally, if you can prove that you incur bank charges because your employer has paid you late, you are quite within your rights to claim any bank charges back from your employer and most small claims or employment tribunal courts will support you.
Use this email to put pressure on Angard..... moya.greene@royalmail.com
I have sent an email to Moya and also threatened to go the Form ET1 route citing 'Illegal witholding of Wages' if my money isn't in my bank today.

Re: FRIDAY 16th Pay
I've just spoken to Madeleine on the payroll queries line (0845 4607487). Please note, that is a Payroll QUERIES line. They cannot resolve the problem and are all just temps themselves. Apparently her manager 'Zack' is in a conference with finance right now to find out what is going on and what is to be done to resolve it. She's going to call me back by 9am with an update even if there's no update...I shall wait and see but she did seem to be genuinely efficient and actually a good customer service agent.
This is sick making. It's supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year and yes, we're all on low paid jobs because there's nothing else there and we're just trying to make a little bit to make Christmas a bit better for our families so it's tough on all of us but this is absolutely outrageous. Feeling genuinely sick with worry about a week on Sunday...never mind phoning payroll, it might be better to phone the Samaritans...

Re: FRIDAY 16th Pay
I have just emailed my MP to bring his attention to the fiasco that is Angard Staffing Solutions, can I suggest that others may like to do the same, the more pressure brought to bear on Angard the better.
http://www.theyworkforyou.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; will help you get in touch with your MP by email, copy in any email correspondence you have had with Angard, I have asked my local MP to raise questions with the Minister responsible for the Royal Mail.

i got pretty much the same on the same number, the guy told me that hes just been employed to sort this out, hopefully this will be sorted, i told them i not going back to work untill its resolved, and i seen the article in the sun on about this and i think everyone should refuse to work untill its been resolved!!!!!!
